First things first. We expected a khidkitod dramebaaz rhona dona episode, but they gave us a stop-and-think-first kinda episode.

This episode, all those who were upset with Shivaay's sudden lovey-dovey behaviour, will enjoy. Because it brought back that old Shivaay. That guy who believed in Naam, Khoon, Khandaan. The guy who told his brother in the other show, I can never see her as the mother of my children.

Yup, that guy is now struggling with his feelings. They were speeding along the freeway, the two of them; now Annika, the cautious passenger has begun to feel safe with this guy who drives too fast.

Today, he is feeling the speed, and is thinking of taking a detour off the speedway, to slow down. But he does not want to lose the beautiful girl he has begun to care for. This is Shivaay's ringing bells period.

Slow and steady guys.. I for one do not want a quick admission of love. I want to see him burn with it for a while, until he cannot help himself.

Shivaay seemed stuck in that slow motion moment, carrying the unconscious dangling Annika in his arms, remembering all the times she put herself on the line for him. How he dragged her around the mandap, and how she came into his life as the wife he didn't want. But she showered him with so much caring, it must have pierced him like a thousand knives.

If she didn't stand in the way, it would have gone through his heart. Her life was in danger because of him. That fact seems to really bother him. So much that, it filled his head, giving no space for anything else, not even a minute's concern for his mother.

(Kill me, but it wouldn't have hurt to offer meds to your mum too Shivaay.. But Annika being hurt has messed up with his head. He is thoroughly frazzled and upset. )

He finds Sahil crying by the poolside, alone. Rudra had brought him back, and he felt a fresh wave of guilt over the pain on the little boy's face.

Poor Sahil was scared of losing his sister, and Shivaay hugged him. But it looked like Shivaay was the one who needed it more. Promise me Annika didi will be okay? Pinky promise?

And Shivaay Singh Oberoi, the Tadibaaz, started weeping. The tears were just flowing out unchecked, uncontrolled.

"It was just a small bullet, it hit the side of her shoulder and came out. Just a small wound, huh? Nothing big. A slight fever, it'll get better okay?"

Words to pacify a worried anxious child, but his face registered none of the confidence. He was just as sad and worried as Sahil. If not more. And just like that the scene changed. A grown man, SSO no less, was weeping in front of Annika's little brother, the two boys who love Annika.

"I'm not crying, you are." the little one says, reminding me of Annika. And Sahil is the one who pacifies Shivaay. The duo who only had each other to depend on, now has Shivaay included in their little family.

(Such a gorgeous, beautiful scene I tell you. I am in emotional heaven)

(Pinky's hurt feelings scene is a set up for something else, I'm gonna leave it for now)

Today, OmRu's poignant conversation came as dejavu. All those who were upset (with me😭) when he said "I cannot see her as the mother of my children..." will feel justified because our fears WERE REAL. Those were his actual feelings about it.

"You should have seen Bhaiya's face , it's like his whole life ended. He treated her like she was any one of us."

And Omkara is actually being a little worried for Annika there, that he might have appeared like a mood spoiler, when Rudra was happily discussing how Bhaiya does not realize how much in love he is with Annika.

Om is worried, because he knows Shivaay; when he has decided something with his brain, he will not change it by principle. So he peppers Rudra's glowing review of Bhaiya-in-Love, with salt, unconvinced that he will accept that Love with open arms.

This was heavy stuff guys. It will hit you harder once you have thought about it a little. Om and Rudra are having serious dialogues about Shivaay's lovelife. And they are worrying for him.

As much as Om was sceptical, Rudra was as confident. He is pretty sure once his engines are fired, none of this will matter any more.

"Billu ko mohabbat hogi,

Billu lover-boy banega,

Billu ka dil dhadkega !!"

"You watch, if anyone ties a bell around our Bhagad Billa, it will be Annika Bhabhi.."

I loved the intensity in Rudra's face. He was his usual jokey self, but there was a veneer of emotional seriousness. beautifully done Leenesh !! 👏

Annika wakes up, and Shivaay frets over her grouchily. He was angry, she had put herself in jeopardy without much thought, and he was upset with her. So she reminded him, that he had done the same for her.

'Whichever one of us had gotten hit, it is my life that would have gone..."

That look on Shivaay's face, I tell you. I cannot describe in words. I was struck speechless by his speechlessness. So he hides behind his awkward Billu mode. (super se uper cute !)

"Awww... when I slay the emotional dialogues, it's adorable to see you change from Tadibaaz SSO to Cute Billuji.."

She continues to tease him, and he is thoroughly the smitten one. She even turns on her own moves !!!!

Mahi starts to feel a kinship for the Oberois, having felt what a family's love feels like. And Kamini pours more poison.

Firstly, i just wanted to say I have been a silent reader with your posts and I think you articulate yourself, and bring something to the episode us viewers sometines disregard really well!!!😳 I love your description and analysis- makes the show extra special !!

Completely agree with what you've written regarding Shivaay's bells especially due to Annika's behaviour today. She has definitely grown so close to him and she realises how important she is to him too.. thats why Shivaay was so anxious to hear what she said she knew.. what he didn't have to say because she knows. Did she get it? Did she know? Shivaay definitely loves her, but it's not easy.. it's complicated. He feels for her, but she is different. NKK is there, it has been sidelined but it is there. This is the challenge now because I feel Annika has kind of disregarded NKK and believes that Shivaay has evolved now? Her Shivaay is no longer the NKK Shivaay anymore, but he is somewhere there and now the thing is, how long will it take for him to resurface? I'm sure NKK wala Shivaay will resurface eventually.. especially if he's forced to confront his feelings. It's a farce.. thats why I will say something I mentioned in another post. I think if Shivaay ever does genuinely accept.. not realise because he subconsciously knows.. but when he accepts his feelings, it may not be in front of OmRu but Saahil maybe, because Saahil is so clever and astute. It will just be hard seeing Annika get hurt when NKK resurfaces.. because I feel she has lost a bit of her independent self especially as she knows she is in love with Shivaay now.

In terms of OmRu, Om knows NKK is there and can still possibly resurface too. Shivika have never clearly referred to the topic of love and their future exclusively, so it's even more of an 'omg whats going on surprise factor' type thing. Compared to Rudy and his optimism, Om's more anxious to see how it will unravel and how Shivaay will deal with it all. ❤️

Can u make separate post on where actually shivika relationship stands right now ?

I think so mostly people r disappointed because they were expecting shivaay's confession in hospital and his dard to be shown.

His dard was shown in today's epi but still they were expecting it in different way.

Anyways nice analysis..Epi was not bad its just editing was bad.

It was an okay episode for me, personally. I think had I been expecting less, I would have probably liked today's episode a lot.

What spoiled it for me, as is always the case with Ishqbaaaz, is that the jumps are just too huge too look over or ignore. Everything before the ShivIka scene seemed like a bunch of scenes thrown together.

About NKK... I absolutely do not mind NKK being the track again. In fact, it's good that we're finally getting to the point. TBH, I'm glad the vamps MIGHT be kept at bay. and NKK had to be a track any way. the thing is... that scene (like many in today's episode) seemed off. And all of a sudden NKK again? So abruptly? Like, things were included just because NM was away and they had to show something regarding the next track. the way OmRu said it, they made it sound like it was still what Shivaay believes in even where Anika is concerned, even though his behaviour completely goes against it. Shivaay's all talking about dard and getting down and dirty with his biwi but here we suddenly have the "mother of my children" dialogue.

I take consolation in the fact ke it is just OmRu's opinion as of now and we're still in the dark about what Shivaay thinks and whether he's still stuck there.

I would like to say, though, that I still want to believe NKK alone will not be good enough to break ShivIka. It HAS to be something else combined with it. Else, all of Shivaay's progress would be negated without any justification and for no reason, at all. Where I think this is going, is that we'll now get to see uber romantic moments with Shivika, with Shivaay either on the verge of confessing or with sexual tension at its peak and then, BAM! A curveball will hit that either causes separation or heartbreak.

Also, don't kill me. I love Nakuul Mehta. He's a terrific actor. But I couldn't relate to that Shivaay-Sahil scene because he didn't perform like I thought he should have. Overall, in the epi, he was good. Just that scene fell short. That's another reason why I feel the angst wasn't enough. The writing of that scene was terrific but the execution wasn't good enough to cut it.

Also, now that we know for sure ke the DBO dialogue is very much relevant in IB land, as many of us guessed, Anika hears about it too. It's such a bhaaree bharkam thing to say and she needs to hear it, especially if it still holds true.

I enjoyed the ShivIka scene a lot. (Anika is high on her painkillers, right?) Want to keep my expectations low for tomorrow but kia kerain... 😆😆

Okay, so for today's episode, I really do belive a longer angsty scene showing Shivaay's feelings was needed and should have had been there.

But then the NKK thing, is also very very important. Maybe theyou could have had waited and an episode, but it had to come up.

And I beleive, Omru's conversation was pivotal here, it actaully shows us that the issue is still very much there, and however much we may want it's NOT going to disappear until something monumental happens, and that's does not include his love realization.

P.s It may be wierd, but I've been listening to the other janna song repeatedly, this weekend, and if you notice the last verse is kind of about speration and angst between the couple, and how love hurts. And in the story, they've only reached the second verse, so I do believe some major hard hitting scenes are coming up, sooner or later.

Osum review didi😆😊 loved the review as much as i loved the episode 😊but my confusion has still not ceased😕 sorryyy... but if nkk is still there whats with sso chanting biwi biwi... patni patni to anika... biwi hug sequence and even mrs.anika shivaay singh oberoi sequence? ? What exactly ismotive behind dard game? What does billu want from anika??

Ps. Even made a separate post... think a lot are like me😆

Anisa !!! I was waiting for your to post your review, because any episode without your review doesn't seem complete. 😃

Coming to the episode, I simply loved it. Whatever expectations I had from it, may not have been fulfilled completely, but the sadist in me is happy. I wanted to see a freaked out and emotional Shivaay and we got it and in such a beautiful way !! Honestly at this point Shivaay's melt down in front of anyone else other then Sahil would have been a let down. I just loved how Shivaay started to comfort and console Sahil and ended up being consoled by the little guy. It was beautifully done. The whole scene were written exceptionally well, and the execution was good, but NM looked really tired so the depth needed the scene was lacking a little but even then he got the job done, I felt his emotions and fear of losing Anika.

Pinky, what do I say about this woman? She is a typical insecure mother, and she is going to be a huge problem between Shivika soon, especially if NKK is the next up coming track. Before Tia and then Daksh were the catalyst for Pinky's disdain and hatred for Anika, but now that Anika has been cleared of all wrong doings in front of her, Pinky doesn't have any reason to hate her anymore, but she still does, because her dislike for Anika comes from a deep rooted fear of loosing her only son, and for that a mother never needs a reason to her hate her DIL. NKK will be a huge weapon for Pinky to use to create a rift between Shivika, especially if Shivaay's NKK issue is still deep rooted in his mind, which I feel still very much exists.

There was a spoiler few days ago about Dadi demanding a baby from Shivika and if that spoiler turns true, that would explain why Pinky turned insecure out of the blue again. If Dadi demands a child, that will definitely give a jolt to Shivaay, especially now that we know that Shivaay's conversation with Om in DBO was very much real. He sounded really worried because he knows Shivaay very well. They didn't add this conversation between OmRu to fill up screen space. Like you said Anika's heart is going to break soon. She is all in this relationship and doesn't feel she has to hide her feelings from Shivaay anymore thinking that he feels the same but is not admitting it because of his Tadi/Attitude. As far is Shivaay is concerned, he has always made decisions with his mind, but since Anika has entered his life, she has affected him so much that even though he wanted to think with his mind but since his misunderstanding of DDaksh got cleared he has always made decisions with his heart, because Anika has that affect and power over him. But even then he has remain cautious, because while he wants her all in, he takes a backward step when his feelings are questioned by Anika, like he did today. Which is why like you I want NKK to be the next track because realization for Shivaay without the NKK issue being resolved once and for all will be meaningless.

Coming to Shivaay's feelings for Anika, OmRu had different opinions, maybe because Shivaay has already had a conversation with Shivaya regarding this earlier and he knows how stubborn Shivaay can be. On the other hand Rudy has been around Shivika more these days, and he has been witness to Shivika romance, so his confidence and faith comes from all the moments he and the family has been a part of when they saw Shivaay's feeling and attraction grow for Anika. I just wish Rudra was as confident and concerned about his own marriage and relationship with his wife. I hope we get a RumYa scene this week after all the trauma Saumya went through.

Mahi's fierce defense of Oberois and Shivaay is leading to him turning against Kamini soon. I hope its because he finds out that she isn't his biological mother and then he is Shivaay's twin for real and not just a look alike.

Anisa, first of all thank you!! I was really hoping that you would make a post today! It was definitely an emotional episode...and the emotion was very intricate not full blown and loud as everyone had hoped for. This emotion was subtle and deep at the same time, in other words BEAUTIFUL! I also wanted to thank you for posting on twitter ...I personally don't have an account but I saw all bashing against Harneet. It was disturbing to say the least. I wanted to say what you said on twitter and I was happy that you said it!!

The disappointment everyone is going through is because of these high expectations everyone had set for the episode today. I agree that I too was hoping for a love REALIZATION on Shivaays part but nothing more. I did spend a lot of time on the weekend contemplating different ways the episode would play out ( which was definitely a waste of time lol) but after watching the episode 3 times, I came to the conclusion that there is sooo much more to explore in the Shivika relationship, and that's what makes it so beautiful, what the majority of the audience was expecting is actually the typical scenes that we see in any other show particularly Ekta shows. So what makes Ishqbaaz different then? If we end up asking for the same things that typical saas babu serials offer. What makes ishaqbaaz different is exactly what was portrayed in today episode. Emotion beautifully depicted and tied in such a way that it gives us a hope to wonder what the future holds.

What people are failing to realize is that while Shivaay held Annika in his arms ...it was his mind that was going through all the flashbacks, their time together etc. He WAS hurt seeing her in that situation, and he blames himself only. The panic everyone wanted him to express was there, again not full blown ...but it was there! From remembering the gunshot incident to realizing she had a fever to searching for meds, it was all there. The best scene for me was of course Sahil and Shivaay, the last two times Sahil and Shivaay had heart to hearts ( the most recent one where Sahil overhears mrs.kapoor) I have cried. Their pinky promises and the tears in their eyes melt me each time. The same thing happened today, but the difference was Shivaay was openly weeping without realizing. The tadibaaz SSO has shown his vulnerability to this little boy- for THEIR Annika. A part of me felt that whatever Shivaay was saying to Sahil was actually for Shivaay himself, to give himself the reassurance that THEIR Annika will be okay and nothing bad will happen. Sahil turned support for Shivaay, he was the anchor that Shivaay needed to get him through that moment and I must say it was beautifully executed by both actors!

Coming to the Shivika moments, Shivaays panic and worry was seen throughout their conversation especially when he has said "tumhari jaan ja sakti thi" but he was rendered speechless when Annika said " either the bullet hit your or me, it would be my life that would have been gone." I agree with you Anisa, I went speechless watching him go speechless. The confidence that Annika is projecting is impeccable.

However, Shivaay is battling his emotions...I feel at points he speeds up when he looses control and when Annika makes a few brave steps...he tries to make a U-turn. The Shivika love story itself has a lot to do with Shivaays journey, now Annika has to walk with him on that journey but unfortunately my fear is that it will be Annika who ends up stumbling on the stones laid in their path. I do feel that in the near future there will be pain and hurt whichAnnika will have to bare when it comes to their relationship.

Regarding OmRu, people are saying that scene is quite misplaced and I do get why they are saying it. However, I see it in another light..for me I see the journey Shivaay has to take. In that scene Om is depicting the foundation that Shivaay has built himself on, and Rudra is the ray of hope towards ishqbaazi. While Om tries to ground Rudra's thoughts stating we are talking about Shivaay Singh Oberoi, Rudra projects the positivity that once in love ...all that NKK doesn't matter.

We have already seen that Shivaay has come a long way from the initial episodes with Annika to the romantic avatar we currently are seeing. What the CVs are trying to remind us is that there is still a long way to go, and their journey to love is what makes this show so beautiful. The NKK is a central conflict that must be addressed but it's not something that will disappear in a heartbeat, it will take time and will diminish eventually. The Shivika relationship is an inverse relationship with NKK, as NKK diminishes slowly, we get more upward progression in Shivika. The ultimate abolishment of NKK will definitely be something big, a lot of us believe that NKK doesn't apply to Annika, and maybe SSO internally believes that somewhere in his heart and he may have made two separate compartments in his heart - one side NKK and the opposite side Annika. But what he doesn't realize is that there will come a time where both things will overlap and that is when Shivaay will realize that Annika is above all and the NKK is truly a crappy belief that he has built his foundation on. Until then all we can do is enjoy the ride!!

For today's episode my disappointment was actually Pinky...I knew her sweetness wouldn't last long, but damn this was quick. She's definitely going to spread some raita as her insecurities are back on a rise.

Ps. Sorry for the long post, I was having difficulty expressing my thoughts. Again, this is all my opinion, I can be totally wrong about it.
