Being a fan?>😆😆I have probably criticised Sonam Kapoor and her statements and poor acting the most on this forum, second to Salman Khan. My favourites every mistake? Try again.😉

She ADMITTED her mistake. Did you not see her tweets? Or did you make up your own narrative to suit your own agenda? Sonam tweeted that she did the ad 10 years ago when she just entered the industry, she says she didn't "understand the ramifications" of such ads. Which is true of MANY of us a decade ago. Mindsets have changed in India and the diaspora immensely in the last 5-6 years especially - more so than in any period in history, quite possibly.

Like I said earlier anyway, I 100% agree with him and everything he posted. I'm so glad someone had the balls to do that. He put SRK in the spotlight!! Who does that? He's my hero! BUT all I came here to say was that Sonam Kapoor was 100% correct bringing Esha Deol's ad into the mix. She had every right to be that petty. It's called a CLAPBACK.👏

Intresting. I try not to follow anyone on this forum until I feel comfortable with the person or I find someone I know is on thread. So I don't know much about your post. I was replying based on your post. Esha is not his sister. She is his cousin. One of the rule about maturity is you look at bigger picture. He is not focusing on her but on issue. She is one of the many. If she was in her teens and younger what she did could be seen as ok. B

Once someone grows older, people learn to measure their response and control their impulse. That is called as gaining maturity. And since she is 30 or nearing it, she needs to learn it. She is full grown adult now. Putting Esha is meaningless seeing how she is one of the faces. What does that achieve? Someone smarter than her would have not only added her voice to the issue but also helped spread it across. At near 30 what she did is seen as absolutely dumb move.

Maturity has more to do with life experience than age. Sonam''s has had a sheltered life and is known to be impulsive. It doesn't make her someone dumb.

Also, no one likes to be reminded of its mistakes (note that Sonam is more and more aware of social issues especially those concerning women, children and the LGBT). She can be petty, her age doesn't have to mean she has to be the greater person.

She aknownledged her mistake too.

All the actors I like, without exception be it HW, BW or the South have not so great personal lives or are not great people. Some qualify as assholes frankly. But universally all are good actors. Character is rather dicey with good actors IMO. YMMV

Her action makes her look dumb. No one on this earth is actually dumb. We all have pro and cons.
See the only reason I am interested in her is because she is learning. If you want to add to her pro, ALR calls her one of nicest people in industry. So she is not all wrong.

But like you pointed out her experience is not large enough for her to learn from it. But as she grows older, she will need to curb her impulsiveness as she is gaining life experience. She is no longer in gilded cage. And image is very powerful thing. Once it sets in, it is hard to break. And it undoes all the good work done. 😊

Hopefully someday ...even Anil Kapoor too will open up and acknowledge... Sonam was a mistake

Bet he is singing

Duniya kehti hai yeh badnaam karegi
Beti humari jeena haram karegi
Magar yeh to koi na jaane
Iske Dimaag mein hai bhusa
