Kabir's moving confession

How beautiful was yesterday's episode?

Kabir is such a beautiful person both inside out. Rosy's entry has made Kabir jealous, insecure & feel left out but yet he continues to take it all in positive stride. His little heartbreaks & the way he's been looking at Myra lately has been full of so much of desire & yearning. And Myra is slowly starting to notice that. Her gaze softened for those few seconds when her eyes caught Kabir's as he was looking at her while speaking to Abha.

His confession of the type of girl he wanted was so honest & moving that even Myra couldn't deny & fight back that he was faking. She knew he wasn't & was moved to tears. She did look hurt initially because she didn't match the description of his ideal partner (one who is not constrained by societal norms & boundaries) but at the same time, she was moved because by the sheer force of his words. It was so endearing, progressive & beautiful. It would be the ideal life partner & ideal life anyone would ant to share with their partner. She teared up especially at the bit when he mentioned the importance of his partner's happiness. Its the kind of affection she craves for & desires. And on Kabir's end, the confession had so much weight because it came after so much they've been through right from fights to his little heartbreaks & desire to be noticed by Myra. I loved how Kabir looked Myra in the eye & was trying to convey that he likes her & sees her for who she is, rather than what she does (i.e being rude to him or putting up a front of being tough)

If anybody has been doubting why Myra & Kabir should be together when she's rude to him etc.. today's episode would have sealed the deal for why it has to be them. Akshay can make her laugh, but he can never move her the way Kabir does. Kabir & Myra's hearts beat the same; for each other. Its more than just serendipity & attraction.

I love the way the show is handling Kabir/Myra's equation.. they're slowly moving from people who used to fight at every opportunity to friends / civil people who understand each other. There is definitely no going back after Myra's little tears yesterday at Kabir's confession. I can't wait for them to start dating because when they do, it will be so well earned. Hats off to the writer for showing such a natural progression of their relationship & solid foundation.

Cheers,
Samridhi😃

Yes, yesterday's episode was beautiful.

And also the subtle way in which they show how they are all aware of what each other is feeling, the action and reaction of the words of one and the reaction on the other. Totally love it.

And also on the love for cooking. Kabir loves to cook,
The colonel loved to cook. And despite that Rosy gets surprised on kabir's love for cooking.
Kabir is surprised that he feels that way, the girls are not, Riya comes to Kabir to ensure he doesnt feel bad...

Beautifully expressed feelings...

WORD on the subtlety with which BKK conveys so much!
I love that everyone in the Kohli household cooks, including Kabir. Also loved that the sisters & Mrs Kohli were thrown off by Akshay's regressive comment. Kudos to Kabir's come back by calling him Rosy. Score equal! Everyone noticed the discomfort but moved on & still continued to have a good evening. Isn't that so realistic? Had this been another show, there would have been so much OTT drama.

Also I noticed how everyone in the Kohli household has started looking out for Kabir. Aryan defended him a few eps back insisting that Kabir stayed. Mrs Kohli has found a son in him. Abha confides in him like a sister. Rhea is open with him like a friend. Myra too lets out all her frustrations on him because deep down, she knows he'll take it. They may all be excited with Akhay's return but he's no replacement for Kabir who's formed an equally important space in their lives. I hope Kabir realises that & doesn't feel too left out. I can't see him in pain.

His views were moving indeed. And Myra's reaction was equally moving. I actually need to watch the episode again because so many little glances were stolen between the two & so much was conveyed. This show deserves a standing ovation for the ability to be able to focus on all the characters in one frame & be able to bring out such subtlety & nuance without any OTT drama. I want to root for all of them. Rosy too despite his patriarchal beliefs. I find it hard to believe that I am watching fictional characters. It feels like I am peeking into the life of a normal happy family that has their share of ups and downs.

I'm a big fan of Nikhil and whenever the Kohli girls are all praise for Akshay I felt is he more cool than Nikhil and they turned out to be siblings who have many things not common, I've to watch more of Akshay but he's cool as an Army-man... Nikhil isn't any less who respects everyone's perspectives, he was initially pretty angry at Kabir but never belittled him and he especially doesn't judge anyone. Akshay's competitive nature seems like a big villain in our simple story, he would compete in every little thing with Kabir, I felt his belittling Kabir's cooking skills was his reaction to the praises Kabir was getting for his skills. He just can't seem to accept that someone can be better than him in something. Still a kiddo, he has to grow up...

Now coming to Kabir-Myra, there's no going back from this point where Kabir's mere words moved Myra, those words which he implied in general but they both knew those were for her. It was such a touching moment and now I'm curious as to who's gonna confess first to whom.
