Why I find it difficult to relate to the show

Characters haven't same personality in both showand all.

The last time i watch DBO shivaay was saying nonsens so i stopped it right away. ... no connection at all

Having said that I feel inspite of some key characters not being there The cvs have really done a fab job with this show at least inspite of the oboros not being 2gether in terms of story n characters..👏👏

Indian Telly shows are a far cry from reality. No logic whatsoever. You need to take it with a pinch of salt. IB is far better than some of the shows that are aired on other channels.

At least IB has fabulous cast. Every single character is dear to us. Even Khannaji, OTT Dadi, Split personality Tej.

As Risha had mentioned these shows are at the mercy of TRP. Without enough dose of drama, tear jerking scenes show cannot garner TRP. Without TRP a show cannot survive as the Channel bosses would pull the plug.

This is a very complicated issue you've touched upon 😆

The thing is, while the initial story was of the bond between the brothers, the TRP audiences started watching only after ShivIka took center stage (forced marriage). They have ruined a huge flavor of the original show, like you've mentioned, for TRPs. But, at the end of the day, we also have to understand that TRPs count more than online views (although why, I still don't get. I mean online's the future bro). So we need to build a strong tolerance for TRP drama unless we get crap like Anika touching Daksh's feet (eww) or too much of NB or too much of Mahi etc. Gul Khan herself said that SP warned makers when IB TRP was low, even though they were no. 1 online.

I guess what the best thing for them to do is what they did on the Thursday episode of ShivIka. Family involvement in everything with ShivIka at the center of things. Like the family planning during dance. IB's USP is romance, comedy and family dynamics. As for the bond between the brothers, I feel like we've come way to far to go back there, although it does make me sad. But I honestly believe (my opinion) that if they start concentrating on the brothers more and sideline ShivIka, TRPs will fall - even the online TRPs. So they can't show too much of that - unless it's related to ShivIka in some way. Like OmRu teasing Shivaay-Anika etc. Rudy's storyline should be separate of ShivIka - that I agree with. May be 3-4 mins of every episode, like they used to do.

But again, thy can't show IT ALL EVERY DAY. If one day we have brother's bond, the next two days must concentrate on TRP gainers like ShivIka and family dynamics etc. If one complete episode is only ShivIka romance, it must also be followed by drama. If one day is drama, it must be followed by family dynamics and ShivIka etc.

So, there needs to be a balance in what they show.😊

ETA: As for continuity between DBO and IB, I think from Day 1, they've ignored that. Spin-offs in the west always make sense as a whole but IB and DBO are being treated as separate shows so no continuity. I also don;t think they'll merge now. We've come too far for that and it wont tie up nicely. I even think they MAY scrap the idea of Gauri and Anika being sisters. Let's see.

i dont know why people say ishqbaaz was going to be about brothers bonding...NO!...the very first promo told that it was going to be about three brothers LOVE life ..dadi's dialog was "mere pote woh layenge aise bahuye jo karengi takkar ka pyaar" or something like that and that they will connect the family...this means it was always going to be about three brother;s love life and family drama..initially as their love track didnt start they had to show the brothers bonding...however i personally miss ShivOmRu moments ...esp shivay and omkara
