But having said that as consumers/fans of what they show us, we can mk our voices hrd thru social media. We can trend and make noise in social media to give us promos tagging the official twitter/FB/Insta handles and hope they will listen to their fans finally!

PS: The funny thing is as I'm typing this Dhai kilo prem - SP dopahar's ad is coming in Sony Mix!😕 I like that shw but y cant Sony shw its own ads too since MIX is one of their most popular chnls?

The problem with Sony is that they spend a lot of money on their shows. If you compare Sony shows with that on Star and Zee, its very clear that Sony's production values are far superior. And hence, I think they panic in a bid to recover the money they put in.

Just look at YMMKD itself. Even though its airing at the 7 Pm slot, they have shot is so lavishly and on locations like Kutch ect. Compare that to Saathiya where everything is shot on sets and would probably cost half of what YMMKD would. Even the Dharamshala Set looks very nicely mounted which obviously costs a lot of money.

The shows on Zee and &TV are very low-budget and because the investment is low, the channels are able to sustain them even with low TRP's.

But shows take time to catch on, more so because there are so many of them airing on television now and the audience has too much choice. It takes a while for the audience to notice a particular show and start watching it regularly. Sony should at least give breathing space for their shows to make a place for themselves before axing them so soon.
