Mere mention gets a certificate whereas Jury award is an actual cash reward. I don't know why people are confusing both.

Mere mentions are candies given to please recommended people. Since Priyan was already rewarding his best friend Akshay, this was the only category he had. He had to please his Malayali folks too hence the best actress award to some Malayali actress because she didn't wear any makeup.

kalki had an actual award..she was given jury's award..same like filmfare critics..this is a special mention

it goes like

NA best actress

NA best actress jury

NA special mention

so lets not put sonam and kalki in same bracket..

happy for sonam but this is changing facts..
