Eldest child - Youngest child

In some countries including mine (and do tell me if it's universal) people have this myth (or maybe stereotype) on the eldest child, middle child and youngest child. I will skip the middle child.

The eldest child will grow to be a matured, calm, dutiful, responsible person. She will have more self-control and would think of others before herself. She can pamper others naturally.

The youngest child will be rather moody, difficult, demanding and sometimes act like a baby.

The myth continues that the perfect couple would be a union of an eldest child (after growing up, of course) with the youngest child. They could balance each other and create a fine chemistry as husband and wife. I think sometimes Michi look like such couple, and no question about who the baby is. Prachi can understand his tantrums and he appreciates her pampering him.

The only thing is that Milind was the eldest child himself😆

Krishna just in case you're reading and wondering yes this thread is inspired by your post in CJID thread:)

loved yur post Magno..infact i am the eldest in my family and many a times feel taht the elder is less pampered and is more dutiful.

Milind..actually shows all the signs of the eldest chidl..he is so v responsible towards sukriti and takes care of his whole family.

as he has not been pampered at all..he acts like a child in front of prachi ?? :)/shows tantrums ??
and the very reason he likes her is coz she takes care of him..which no one did hwen he was young ??

Magno, interesting post. Being the eldest myself I always felt I was not treated fair because I was made to act quite grown up early on in life while my sister was always treated more indulgently (atleast that is how I saw it) although we were just one year apart in age. I liked the bossing around part though! But I guess now she is more mature than me in some respects because of greater family responsibilities.

Coming to Milsi and Prachs, both are responsible individuals and love pampering their younger siblings. As Pooja said, although Prachi has been pampered enough and more by her father, Milsi never received that kind of attention in his life. So he craves it more and Prachi is only too willing to give it to him which works fine. We have not seen him throwing up a tantrum with anyone else other than Prachi. With her he feels he has every right to do so.

Moreover, there is a baby in all men. They relish all the attention their wives shower them and become quite grumpy when the first baby arrives and the attention of their wives get divided between them and the new born. It takes them time to understand that they will now have to share their wives with their offsprings. Then they become cool dads more than willing to share the affection.

Waiting to see how Milsi acts when baby Milsi arrives. Would love to see him trying to gain Prachs attention when she is busy with the baby.

Poshah, Sana and Optimist thank you for replying 😊

Yes Poshah I do think he's a very responsible man. It's just when he's with Prachi he often acts like a baby and he kinda should 😃

Btw I was the youngest child, hehe. I think the eldest children can get along fine with anyone while only the eldest children can stand the youngest children for long😆

Yes Optimist I would love to see Milind with the baby:) But I guess it is Prachi who will be the one wanting the attention, because Milind would be crazy about their child for sure.

Magno hun I'm a middle child I come second so certainly have no favours done as youngest or have all the responsibilities as the eldest. But yes the myth is pretty common even in my country. 😊

Let me conclude my thread 😆

Muneeza thank you dear for replying. Special for you I'll elaborate on the middle children. Since the myth isn't in favour of middle children I'll skip it and pick another myth (lame joke, actually. Please don't take it seriously). Middle children are the best among other children because the eldest were experimental and the youngest came from boring routine 😃 Oops hope that's not too crude 😕 😊

Magno, if i continue this thread further..post the epi of 17th jan.

Milindz beh was kinda typical of a elder sibling.

Whenever suk is in trouble, her brother is the one she calls for..and def trys to help him as well.

But milind..he has always been the provider..and in such difficult times he couldnt even reach out to her sister. he had to fall back on his father..

Never ever have I seen him talk to suk, sharing his problems with her..he has always helped her, never asked anything in reutnr !!

Oh Poshah I think he would break down and lean on to basically anybody at that point of time 😕. Maybe if Neev came there he would fall back on him as well (extreme).

Yes Sukreti would come to Milind for her problems (except for Ritwik. But what can we say, that's the way the bad script was done) and that seems typical for the youngest child (though as the youngest I really don't go running to anyone for my problems. At least I think so, hehe).

For Prachi or his quest in 'seducing' her, Milind already forgot about/ignored Sukreti a couple of times but yes generally as her older brother he's very protective towards her. He doesn't see Sukreti as his 'equal'. She's like his baby sister who needs his care and not his problems. But wait, I think he somewhat shared his trouble with Sukreti in early Kayamath...But maybe not, I don't really remember. Sorry dear I know I'm not making clear sense for I'm already too sleepy hehehe.

But for 16-17th episode I kinda think he ignored Sukreti again 😕
