Why are people angry over Neerja winning NA?

I have seen people saying Anil Kapoor paid. etc etc.
Neerja was an excellent movie. and deserving of the accolades. While Dangal was a better movie. but it is not like Neerja was crap and did not deserve at all.

Also special mention for Sonam is not an award, why will anyone buy special mention. MATLAB kuch bhi??

NA is given to the best movie. Dangal & Airlift were 100% better than Neerja.
Yes it deserved to an extent.
Sonam lobbied for best actress but since they could not give her that, they gave her a special mention to make her happy.

Neerja was more emotional and heart breaking. A story needed to be told of a hero.

I felt it was more patriotic theme than Dangal and Airlift.

Dangal deserved Popular Wholesome Entertaining Film Award. But sadly it didn't get it like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, 3 Idiots, Vicky Donor have won in past.

Ugh bcz Neerja is overrated as hell and exploited the patriotic emotions of the audience to gain praise. The actress was mediocre and the movie was not as well made as everyone is hyping up.

I didn't see people speaking against Neerja's win... I didn't see any angry reaction when it was announced Sonam has got a special mention. People started reacting when Soanm's brother, friends, media, and industry people congratulated Sonam for "winning" the NA. Her people are trying to make people believe that she's won an NA.
