It's been forever since rumours of Alia Bhatt
being a part of Aamir Khan's Thugs of
Hindostan have been doing the rounds. The
latest we get to hear is that Alia has
apparently turned down the role of the
protagonist in the movie because she didn't
think she had much to do in the film.
Boxofficecapsule quoted a source as saying,
"Alia would love to work with Aamir. Who
wouldn't? But not in a film where the
heroine has so little to do. The heroine's role
in Thugs Of Hindostan' is underwritten,
underdeveloped and undernourished. In
fact Hrithik Roshan told Aditya Chopra that
the girl's role needs to be worked on. Adi
agreed. But the minute Aamir showed
interest in the project, Hrithik was dropped
and the heroine's role remained the same."
Could this be true? We don't know.. Let's
hope the actress or Aamir himself makes an
official confirmation about the same, soon.

For the longest time now, there have been
speculations made that either Alia or
Shraddha will bag the role in Thugs of
Hindostan, which also stars Amitabh
Bachchan. Not just Alia and Shraddha, Vaani
Kapoor and Fatima Sana Shaikh's names
have also been associated with the film.
Now that Alia has refused to play the part,
let's see who would filmmaker Aditya
Chopra consider next. From what we know,
Adi is keen on casting Vaani as the female
lead protagonist in the film but Aamir
wanted Fatima to play the role. With so
much happening around the leads of the
film, we wonder when will the film actually
go on floors! Just a couple of days ago, we
snapped Shraddha outside Aamir's house,
making everyone wonder if she has been
finalised for the role. If Shraddha has really
bagged Thugs Of Hindostan, this will be the
biggest film of her life. After all, it stars two
of the biggest stars of the film industry -
Aamir and Amitabh.
