The excuse becomes an issue if they don't have skills and are given roles. Again as a audience I have control over whether to watch the person. 😊

But Alia's case is a lot more than just about nepotism. 😆
It's true that she is not the first to get a godfather. Her case is extreme though. After her horrid performance in SOTY, she would have never got any decent films without the support of KJo or her Dad. Had, for example, Parineeti or Disha been so awful in their first films, their careers would have ended before getting started. Also, unlike Disha and Kiara, Alia is very average looking, which wouldn't help either.
She was decent in her second film, but the way Bollywood insiders were hailing her performance and calling her Meryl Streep was laughable. She was not extraordinary. If anything, Randeep deserved a lot more praise, but nobody cared to appreciate him because they were too busy fawning over Alia.
Yes, her acting has really improved and she has worked hard, but without the careful planning by her mentors, and KJo setting conditions of financing certain projects only if Alia is picked, she would not have come this far yet.
