Could Varun have pulled off Ranbir's Besharam better?

I have not watched the full movie 'Besharam' - saw a few clips when it was coming on TV in the last 3-4 days - but one of the biggest problems with it was the fact that Ranbir seemed to be a mis-fit in it. Of course the movie was heavily banking on the Kapoor trio of Rishi, Neetu and Ranbir, and Neetu and Rishi were quite funny in their scenes, but while watching Ranbir I thought this movie needed someone like Varun to pull off the 'massy' feel of the character who has no inhibitions. What do you guys think?

This is easy, YES!

I have not seen the film either. My judgement is based on trailer and songs. And speaking of songs, that was one of the most horrendous thing about Besharam. With a different composer plus Varun. A hit is a guaranteed!

BV & Ranveer - Yes

(Barfi / JJ) & Varun- No
Tamasha & Ranveer - No

Every actor has their strength. Why deny it.. 😆

I dont like Varun in a comical role. MTH was a bad movie.

Never seen Besharam but since Varun does the best comedy among his contemporaries so maybe yes.

Yes.Varun would have shown his full butt instead of giving a glance of it.

He made MTH work at BO with his chichora ganwaar acts,so,i guess he must have made this one work as well.

Badlapur- yes- very easily.
DLKH - yes - role itself was not tough but his image would not have pulled audience.
Rangoon - which one? - there were two hero and none of them was shahid.
trapped- yes- seen his early movies made for school.
ki aur ka - yes- he plays posh easily.

Acting is not his issue. Image is his problem. He could have played Ram of Ram Leela very well but Bajiroa would have been tough. And not because of accent. He still has issue with letting go of inhibition. Ranveer score on that point. Or he has issue playing massy character- Varun's strength.
