Revanth has only Kannada and Telegu songs to his credit; he is an established regional singer.

He reminds me of Mohammed Irfan. Irfan sang for and Murder 2 (Phir Mohabbat with Arijit) and AR Rehman's Raavan (Behne De) before he won Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar 2. He beat Sreeman and all the other past champions.

It is only because of this national level based competition that he gained recognition which paved the way for his incredible establishment in the mainstream bollywood industry.

Revanth deserves this break. He'll never disappoint.

Who all are saying revanth is an established singer pls note that you are wrong. Though he sang 180 to 200 songs hardly they are from block buster movies. Being from andhra I too don't know revanth till indian idol. Till now though he participated in many tv reality /singing shows we just treated him like one among the whole lot of singers. In other way I can say he is still struggling to be a top singer. I was also in doubt whether he can participate in II or not . If he was selected means it was truly based on his talent . I want to tell you one more thing one of our telugu singer Deepu also appeared this year for auditions. He even was nominated for film fare. But judges didn't select him . The judges definetly know what they are doing.he is more senior to revanth. Every one has ambitions . Some may try hard without leaving any chance but some may try once & leave it. Revanth comes in first category. In my opinion Mr.M.M.keeravani introduced so many singers out of which revanth was also one.may be his favourite. (as I came to know from interviews). A lot of telugu music directors are going for other language famous singers instead of giving opportunities to the local talented singers like revanth. So my question is why not revanth participate in such a show where he will get famous & also can sing in any language. He just grabbed the opportunity. He earned this title with sheer hardwork & dedication. If not from bollywood he will definetly sing more songs in telugu now. But I wish to listen him sing for bollywood too. Best of luck revanth.

Same thing happened in a show down south called "Airtel Super Singer'. A contestant named "Anand Aravindakshan" won the finale - that is, he hid his playback singing history and appealed for votes.

Here, I am happy that they are open about the achievements of the contestants. Even I didn't want an established singer to totally steal the limelight but he has a gifted voice and he probably deserves this! :)
