I felt like making a post after ages today, because I liked what I say today.
Firstly, the dev-jatin convo was very nicely thought out. Extra points for jatin about what he said about women. Yes we really are brave. And yes dev really has earned some points by agreeing to stay at his in laws whereas the norm is something else. Also, I wonder what he was going to ask dev before they are interrupted by the pandemonium. Anyways, let's see how this potential friendship turns out.
Next the Bose family scene. We got to know why ronita's mom did what she did! But how stealing jewellery and breaking trust could earn her daughter a place in that house or why she thought sona was going to interfere with it I have no idea!
But I guess our fears or anxieties really have no reason or logic! I hope she herself comes around in good time!
But I really really liked dev here today. Not the not telling part but just what he did. I loved how he stood up for Bose family as his own, how he retains that respect, and how he clearly asked her to not concern herself with his and sona's matters. He has that respect still, was good to see. The solution he pointed out was also acceptable.
What I don't believe is why he chose to hide it. Looks like he still is the guy who would lie or rather hide the truth to keep his family from sadness or to save a relation. He feels this will save not only much in love couple's relation but also the one of trust between the two families. Once again putting the bitter under wraps! I can understand where he was coming from but I rather he would not lie.
Coming to sona. That she brushed off dev's words was understandable but that she would readily accept him as a thief I could not believe. Thank god she hinted to this in her conversation with jatin and went to take with dev.
There she is faced with the truth. Here sona is too the same. The one who believes in telling the truth no matter what consequences it has or how bitter it is. She wants the truth out for she knows otherwise it will spoil all relations. Between the couple and the familes, because trust is most important perhaps more than love. Here I completed stood with her standpoint. Her experience tells us in her society how important families are in a marriage their marriage was a perfect example.
But wait asha intervenes here between the two extremities knowing her I am sure she would find a middle ground.
Finally the last scene. Here is where I realise how hard it's to understand this man. He on the one hand always defends sonakshi and her family and on the other the moment she speaks of his family which probably he knows is the truth... Sona magically becomes the 'other'
I couldn't understand here how his mind works!
The parallels from his own marriage were clear enough. Even ronita's mom's words about middle class family marrying into a rich family was the same in their case. So why doesn't he see what he knows is true?
I guess he has a long way to go. But now living how the story is shaping up. And hope hope the pretty is not a dream because that would really give them a chance to speak. And even if it is I hope it comes true.
