"Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was my choice but falling in love with you was beyond my control"
Past
The General fought gallantly in all the wars , with his strength and his skills no one was able to stand before them , but the Princess was worried for him . He came back to his chambers, only to find the Princess waiting there, "Maan, are you alright".
"Yes Princess , I have told you before , you should not come here". "And I have told you I have come to meet my childhood friend", The Princess responded stubbornly. Maan sighed giving up arguing with her , he never could win with her reasoning , so he asked , "Okay , then have a seat". The Princess sat herself on the huge chair . "Why are you so stubborn , ever since our childhood you have been like this , I don't get your reasons anymore", Maan sighed. "You don't need to, I only want your safety . You do know about the power I hold as the Priestess. I can control time and space." "I know that is the reason why other countries are trying to kidnap you and still you are not careful , please understand I'm bound by duty". "And I'm bound by love", She spoke stubbornly."Please try to understand Geet...we are not of the same rank", He tried to reason. "Love does not see the rank Maan, well I'm happy that you at least you called me Geet. I will make sure you stick by that", She spoke storming out. Maan watched her silently. "You are still the same Geet, but I can not go back even if I want to. I'm sorry for giving you and myself this pain", He smiled sadly.
One day , the Princess went to their Kingdom's shrine . The general followed her as ordered . Once she entered the shrine he stopped outside and told his men to look out for any enemies and inform him as soon as they see any such suspicious activity . "General Maan, please follow me", the princess ordered . "Forgive my impudence , princess , but people other than the Priestess are not supposed to enter the shrine". "Your information is incorrect General . What you say is true but people who have a pure heart can enter this shrine without any inhibition . So now follow me". "As you wish", he bowed down following her . She stopped in front of a huge door and ordered her maids to stay out while she entered with Maan . Maan was amazed to see a huge pond in there with water falling down continuously into it .
Geet stepped into the water and prayed . As she did that her body gave a gentle aura . She opened her eyes and gestured him to come where she was . He hesitated but then followed , she gestured him to look in the water . Maan was amazed to see the sight in front of him . It looked like he was viewing the entire kingdom from the sky . "This is through my current vision . We are living in a quiet atmosphere now , without any chaos . But soon everything will be ruined , look below". Maan looked down only to see the kingdom in ruins. "This is the future of the kingdom , I'm still trying to envision the cause of this calamity and that is why I want you safe ." "I will be safe princess , and you will be too".
"Maan don't you ever think about our days together , we were so happy , you would tell me about your dreams but now I feel you have forgotten", she cried. "Please don't cry princess a smile suits you better , I'm bound by my words given to my father and my duty to protect you, I do think about our old days but you are the future ruler of this country and I though being born of noble birth am not worthy of you"."We are protecting a stone which has great magical powers , and as a Priestess I have the power to use it". "Is that the reason you are assaulted frequently", Maan asked . "Yes, as I hold the key to it. Come I will show you a demonstration of its powers", Geet walked ahead followed by Maan. They entered another chamber and there in the center of it lied a beautiful crystal with a golden blue color sparkling in the moonlight .
(Imagine this as the Stone of Destiny hehe)😆😆
"The Stone of Destiny", She said . "It helps people to see what is there in their destiny and also it holds a strong magical power which even I'm unaware of". "Princess but why are you telling me all this .You are suppose to hide this stone from the world", He said. "Because I trust you the most , I have even devised a way to save us if anything happens to our country". She said. "Princess shall we leave now", The General asked . "Yes".
The morning bought new hopes to both, a new determination to unravel the mystery. The Professor went to Geet's tent to find her awake. "So shall we start", He asked to which she nodded. "Maan, it seems that the General died but the Princess may be alive", Geet said. "How can you say that", He asked. "I sent my team to ask the locals here, they told them that", She said. "Geet, my father always wanted me to unravel this my mystery", He told. "You said, you don't remember", She looked at him. "I do, its just that...there are gaps", He said."I don't remember much either just that when I found about this story it got me interested", She said. "We are weird don't you think", He said. "Haha we sure are but strange people are the ones to make discoveries. Okay, forget that, let's go. I'm excited to see the ruins", She grinned.
The professor took Geet to the excavation site where the ruins were. "This is huge , its like an entire city",Geet said overlooking the site . "Yes and we are still digging to find the Princess and the General's location". Geet walked further when she stumbled upon something. Maan steadied her , they looked down to see there was something hidden . Maan called out his workers . There was a stone on which some encryption were there . The professor asked the workers to bring the stone to his tent. "It has some inscriptions it seems", going through it thoroughly . "Can you translate it professor", Geet asked . "Yes it seems about the Princess and her general .""What does it say", Geet was curious . "Ah its a little difficult but I will be able to decode it by night , I will tell you post diner".
At night, Geet walked into the Professor's tent to ask him to accompany her for their diner."Geeett", She heard someone calling her. "Professor did you call me just now", She asked. "No , is something the matter", he asked still concentrating on the task before him . Geet shrugged it off , May be the stress from all that traveling and this deserted surroundings are making me hear things.' Unknown to her someone was watching her . "So you two have returned", The Shadow said.
"It seems like its the famous Stone of Destiny", Maan said gaining her attention. "Is it , but wasn't it supposed to be beautiful , it looks like an ordinary rock". "It says the Princess and the General were cursed", Maan said . "Cursed...what kind of curse and why", Geet asked looking to the stone. "It seems they are asleep and it ...arghh, I'm not getting it", He said holding his head in his hands frustrated of not breaking the code. "Anything about that glass tube", She asked.
(Imagine this as the mysterious glass tube hehe)😆
"Some kind of incantation it seems though I'm racking my brains for both...arghh...I have never been so tangled in a mystery before", He said annoyed. "Don't worry Professor we can get to it later, let's have our diner", Geet smiled.
"Okay let's go my brain will need carbohydrates to crack this one", He jested . "Then let's get you some", She spoke accompanying him out of his tent. They walked ahead but the stone's inscriptions were changed.
