i completely agree with your views. Yes, the need for them to be together is so intense.. i can understand Sona's point of view but what i am grappling with is Dev. Does he not know what brought on the separation and who brought on the separation? Does he think that Sona is responsible for that? In the beginning of the leap, there was an episode when Dev thinks Sona has moved on with Jatin and it hurts him because he has not moved on. He was angry then but when he came to know the truth, his anger still remains. Then we had Sona explain to him that she had come to his house with Soha .. still the anger remains.. Now Sona has allowed Soha to even meet and mingle with her own dad.. still the anger remains..

Does Dev think that Sona has erred in not meeting him even once in these last 7 years and has not tried hard enough to bridge the distance? if so, why did Dev not do it? after all it is not hard to find out anyone's whereabouts in today's world.

So what is the cause of Dev's anger? i am struggling to understand that.

Finally, why is there no anger against his own god - his mother? His aunt, his cousin... this is the big issue i am having in understanding Dev these days.

Thanks Ashwathy for this lovely post. Mr Das I agree with you completely.

I was beginning to think only i was feeling that way that season 2 is darker than season 1. I think there is a reason for it. In season 1, dev and sona were younger and more innocent made many mistakes which caused them to separate at the end of season 1.

It is obvious that the love and the chemistry between them is intact or possibly stronger than ever before. They are getting attracted to each other like a moth to a flame. But hiding it behind a screen of hate. Dev slips up once in a while and reveals that he still loves her and misses her terribly- like yesterday till her was taunting sona it was alright but the moment she said "its Dr Bose for you Mr. Obhodro" did u all notice how is expression changed. He actually loves calling her Ms. Bose and felt his right to call her that was taken away from him. Also he got visibly upset remebering the gajra scene.

Sona on the other hand is made of much sterner stuff and she doesnt let her mask slip easily. Dev needles her more because she is so cool towards him as if she does not get impacted by his physical and emotional closeness as much as he does.

Also, when Sona actually started helping Dev with the dhoti, it was as if they were married for years. I found it rather endearing. Dev was following her instructions to a T with a sheepish face. Dont we all do it when we have done some big goof up and expect that our spouse would sort it out!!

The fact is that they are terribly attracted to each other even now.

I think something terrible would happen to either Sona and Soha and only then her mask would slip. I think the fear of losing Sona or Soha forever would force Dev to open up.

I can go on with these predictions but God knows what the writers are thinking...there is not one reason to justify Dev currently.Just saying that he was in mental pain cannot generate sympathy...I hope the writers realise this and have some sort of backstory.

Well u said it rightly I can't an ounce sympathies with Dev he is acting some spoiled kid right now and his behavior with Bijoy is downright disrespectful 😕

Thank you Sir !! The fact is Dev is flawed , so is every other charachter. We are used to a picture perfect protagonist and his lead lady...and then absolute antagonist who is completely dark. The concept of pseudo protagonist and pseudo antogonist is not much used in serials..Here we were told there were three character around which the story would revolve...Dev , Sonakshi and Ishwari...all three are flawed but Dev and Sonakshi are good souls ...Ishwari is shown as a good soul along with the other two...but in reality she is more grey...she is the psuedo protagonist...she is the dark horse!!

Regarding Dev's attitude towards Sonakshi...

I think I had told this before ..a child when fails or cant get what he /she wants ...they will fight with their mom or blame their mom for their failure...because the child knows no matter what, his/her mom is not going to judge them badly and that mom will never stop loving them...

For Dev his relationship with Sonakshi is very close and personal. Its not just about being couples or soul mates or husband and wife...its beyond that ...he has some obsession when it comes to her..he always considered her as "HIS"...she is a part of him and no different from him...his love for her is not something that can be normally explained ..because its not the general puritan love that we see in romance movies/books...it has a dark side to his love for her...obsession..and blind trust that she would never leave him because she is a part of him...and his existance...and when she left his male ego was hurt big time..loosing her was his first and the biggest ever failure in life...with this failure he lost himself...then the seven years was trying to find a reason to live ...with whatever was left with him...

Now that she is back...all he can think is hurt her and blame her for everything that happened in his life...he feels with her exit , she took half of him along with her as he never felt complete...so he blames her for his failure.. just like the way a child gets angry with his/mom..I feel Dev is close to Sonakshi more than any one else in his life...when in trouble he reaches her first...even in case of Dhothi!!

Well...this is the ONLY logic I can relate to Dev's anger towards Sonakshi...

Seven years made Sonakshi hard like a stone. She had to for her child ...I mean their child...and that is why she seem very indifferent to his presence ...she shows that she is not that affected by him...bt in reality she is equally affected by Dev's presence ..both are just waiting to be with each other and in each others arms..they are actually fed up with the lonely life ..and hence the idea to connect with each thru Soha was agreed by both.

PS: Concept of mom and child was related to Dev and Sonakshi's relationship because Sonakshi was the one who introduced Dev to the essence of life ...till she walked into his life he was just a humanoid working as designed by his mother...Sonakshi is the one brought colours to his life ...just like the way a mom brings colours to her childs life.

Don't worry the patriarch in Bijoy will rise and help Dev become a good boy ...I hope and wish CVs will soon show Dev finding a father figure in Bijoy...though he didn't like ...Dev did listen to bijoy - folded news paper , wore dhothi...and also with great difficulty apologized for his mom's appearance at their house...so this spoilt brat will soon change ...because of a strict father called Bijoy and an affectionate friend cum mom called Asha...will surely bring in some balance into his life.
