Well in the precap when Dev and Sona lock eyes , Jatin is constantly looking at Dev. Whether that is jealousy i don't know. But if Jatins character is brought to act as a help , he will definitely realise that his friend Sona and Dev are still very much in love. So he may try to help. I assume this bcoz in a previous episode he had this convo with Sona where he catches her off guard .

Sona : "main kab keh rahin hoo ki Main Dev ae pyar karti hoon aur dev mujhse"

Jatin : " par maine yeh kab kaha"

This is in episode 253 or around that.

So Jatin if u act as a bridge , ur character will be perfect. I dont fimd any other utilisation of Jatin

As of now he has minimal role with majority of them are of his standing by sona. CVS are not clearing his role but as of now I don't think he is here to help devakshi reconcile. Becoz he himself loves sona and his convo with dev when he entered Bose house was full of animosity when both in their capacity considered themselves as family and other as outsider

I feel Jatin is here for the jealousy track...To bring out the insecure n madlover in Dev out...Otherwise i dont see any reason for him to be on standby...Maybe future remarraige scene might come into picture!
