I really want to see an AMY DUNNE like character who owns up to her misdeeds and justifies them in her own twisted ways possible unlike the current Maya 2.0 who acts like a wet cat, cries, and seemingly manipulates without realizing its repercussions on Arjun's psyche. It evokes neither sympathy nor awe but plain disgust at the way she's descended into a downward spiral of madness. Make the character interesting! Give me an unadulterated, PURE and CONCENTRATED psychopath and not this dumbed down Indianized abla naari watered down version of a psychopath!
Maya at this rate can never be redeemed but can only end up institutionalized during the show's denouement.

Yes I want smart Maya not the one pleading for love, a grey shaded abla nari (No offence). Her character is more predictable now its lacking the intelligence factor that makes her interesting and convincing...They should reveal a few secrets by now...As Amy's story was shown from Amy's perspective I want to see Maya's perspective (her original perspective), how she is currently feeling about her ownself, about Arjun...Is there anything more to what she saw three years back?

I am watching beyhadh from post leap... So pardon me if I say anything wrong... From opinion of a new viewer of this show, I like maya's character... First time a television lead character who is not goody goody abla naari... Her character is different.. Disturbingly refreshing... Rest all characters are boring and regular ( except samay may be)
I sincerely hope that they don't ruin it by making her regular protagonist who is epitome of goodness and sacrifice...
Even though I understand everyone has different views... But I wish indian audience can like a character for how brilliantly written it is or how different and complex it's from regular characters rather than a hero..

I can see what you are saying. But i don't think maya's character was ever created with the intention of breaking the norm of the goody goody type female lead. I feel like her character was created to present a social issue. Her character to me seems like a message. Her character has portrayed the destructive results that an unstable childhood can have on a person in the long-run, an issue that has been brought up many times and studied within human psychology. It is through her character that the repercussions of childhood experiences on the human/ adult psyche has been portrayed. The downwards spiral that maya is taking herself down is due to her own choices she made influenced by her childhood experiences. Unfortunately everything she went through as a child has shaped the person she has become now. She's a character that you are meant to feel sympathy for, but at the same time understand her actions are not justifiable, as ultimately it comes down to choice. Her character is very much of contemporary relevance, but unfortunately people aren't able to see this, as all they see is either a girl who your meant to feel sorry for and so her actions should be justified and forgiven because of what she has gone through, or a girl you are meant to be repulsed by.

In actual, we are meant to feel sorry for her, understand that everything she is doing is a result of everything she has gone through, but also understand that her wrongdoings as an adult cannot be justified and forgiven because her poor childhood experiences made her that way, because she ultimately chose to act that way on her own accord.

As I said I have been watching this show for only 4-5 episodes now so I might be wrong... This is not the first time a female lead has been shown with a bad childhood or a tough life... But mostly we get to see they become abla naaris and there swoops in our hero protecting her... In that sense I said I got to see something different here.. 😊

Exactly how I feel. I think many people were and some still are not getting the essence of what this show is about. You said it very well.

I agree it is impossible to redeem & give a happy ending to this Maya. If this is the kind of madness she will be in asylum in the end. It's plain disgusting to see so called Arya adult romance, it is more like Maya trying to rape arjun. Sadistic.
I thing it's time they reveal the mystery and end the show rather than stretching Maya psychoness. It's getting worse.

All I know is that I want Maya to be normal...happy with arjun...but i guess if thats gonna happen, it'll happen at the end...as maya's psychotic behaviour is the crux of this show

but looking at maya's current tactics...(like TB said she will plead to vandy and appear as a victim to keep arjun in his life)...that is just adding up to her wrong doings...i dont know how much more arjun can bear...

he still hasnt found out all her manipulative games played in the past...when he finds out about how she is using his mom to make him stay in her life and also sabotaging his image while doing so...i dont know how he will take this
