Dil chahta hai might've been a groundbreaking film for BW... But not for the rest of the world...

I've seen reviews from disappointed foreigners for movies like DCH and 'no one killed jessica', they are stumped that these are considered classics here

NOKJ got such rave reviews for acting here 😛

They also cannot understand why there's so much raving about such ordinary performances

Depends on the person's tastes and interests.

Someone who enjoys Adam Sandler movies may find more joy in David Dhawan flicks than the other ones.

Someone who enjoys chick flicks may enjoy some classic Bollywood romcoms.

Someone who is into Bollywood dance and the colors may actually want to see your over the top masala flick.
