JNDSD~ My take~ Sunday 26.3.17~ Lunar lunacy effect!
Most of us have heard about stories that the most moistest organ of our body, the brain is most susceptible to dangerous influences of the moon which triggers off the tides of the sea. All through the Middle ages this thought prevailed across Europe. Literature belonging to that period gives broad references to human changing into vampires and were wolves on the night of the full moon. Even at present times many people who are influenced by the occult and mystical powers believe many a criminalities, suicides ,disruptive and erratic behaviors are induced by the Transylvania effect..or lunar lunacy effect. Of course the skeptics disown the idea while others still cling on to it as a possibility. Film makers make many a horror movies, for audiences, that enjoy thrill of the dark side.. all such genre refer to the full moon doing strange things to humans.Within the present story track, the CVs's too have used the full moon genre to create chilling , macabre ,suspense and mystery, ambience. Seems the full moon night does touch on one characters disturbed mind. Whether Suman's madness comes about as a consequence of previous trauma she suffered is debatable ? The manner in which she gives vent is far from acceptable , in fact if she is not stopped in time she will destroy many a lives..
Tonight's the night of music! Magic! Madness!Mysteries! make belief! dance, and misplacements.. Suman's belongs to another world.. unreal where she plays a game of check mate! with human life! All Vividha can see before her is a highly charged Suman.. it's a theatrical performance she gives ,riddled with references to chess, cards! plays a baffling game that makes the other player Vividha.. wonder what she is up to? This is thrill of the game where Suman attempts to psychologically mess with Vividha's mind..but one thing Vividha has no doubts about, is that Suman is possessed, by lunacy..its extent she soon finds out when Suman gets the wheelie suitcase..
A mother can sense when her child's life is in danger! Suman's sanity is completely bagged by some vile insane motive about which Vividha is still unaware. But Suman's hideous, lunatic side is exposed like the open suitcase itself. Vividha fights off, like the lioness to save its cub from the bloodthirsty cackling hyena! A mother's cries fall upon deaf ears of a gorgon! Suman snatches off Madhav bags him! and cackles.. after thirty long years.. this dark ominous night will end and give her a new life in the morning. For Vividha too all this time of being in the dark about Suman's true nature, ends right here in the basement..her morning lights are up! by discovering the truth about Suman! She is a dangerous demented foe and far from a friend! and she has her child!! Madhav!!! her bosom is pierced by a dagger..as Suman shuts the door at the tied captive Vividha!
She may have snatched her sacrificial offering Madhav from the bosom of the mother from the pits of her hellhole! But scaling and wheeling the suitcase past the father is no major feat for Suman too. She has dealt with many major obstacles before getting to this night! The night when her foes will lose a lot! and she will gain her a whole new life..all will be good! tonight! The distance from the shadows to the stairs leading to the balcony.. is not great..she progresses gingerly..not long to cover. Suddenly Atharv enthralled by the dancer loses his balance! falls backwards!.. symbolic.. he is stabbed in the back by people he thinks love him! Atharv lands on the red wheelie.. held up by his palm pressed on the suitcase! Suman nearly loses her mind! Expectations rise ! will the deities give Atharv the divine wisdom to open the red suit case?? will Madhav call for help?.. expectations are lost.. perhaps the time is not right yet?? Atharv still inclined , looks up at his mother? One basic question in his mind.. what is the meaning of all this? Where is she heading for? answering Atharv's questions were never a problem for Suman. Sujata's spawn was always under her control! Tonight's the night! when something will happen, something about to happen! Suman gives him some tall tale of the hermitage and important accounts to be handed over. Ah.. the number of times she had to give an account , justifications to this half a brain Atharv ..well after tonight no more! for tonight he and his son will be history! Suman's insanity soothes her! Atharv offering to carry it to her room.. unnerves her! Guddi her handmaiden steps in and takes Suman out of the delaying situation! This Atharv has to be heeled.. dozed up! to take to the sacrificial altar the balcony!
Tonight's the night! the full moon night! From the gates of the great furnace ! all the ghouls crawl out and congregate at this den of darkness, Vashist house! The veiled undistinguished mentor too, makes its presence known, from the shadows.. the final shady deed of tonight! Add something lethal to Atharv's protein drink... should be enough to make him go woozy , groggy, with double vision.. just enough to take him to the sacrificial altar.. the balcony!
So far away seems Vividha.. the music, the party, the gaiety cannot reach her.. she cries to the heavens from her captivity.. do the deities not hear the wailings of a mother as her bosom splits at her child being snatched away by a female monster! ..
Guddi coquettishly dances with Atharv allures him to drink the Hemlock potion! Oblivious to the real concoction , duped Atharv is tonight too!!like he has been for the last four years of his life! don't drink Atharv!! Vividha in the basement raises up her bound hands..ooohhh Atharv! your beloved's hand are tied up..otherwise she would have never let you take the dreaded sip!! Too late! His vision warps! faces, the room swim before his eyes ,he gawks... struggles to maintain balance in his vision ..but the sip attacks his very mind.. his mind.. the same feeling as one lost in a deep never ending abyss ..he is losing it...
Tonight is the night of full moon.. is Vividha hearing and seeing things as well? The tinkle of anklets.. then the emergence of a figure like Madhav had described ! it's the girl from the newspaper! Her ghost?? perchance it's a friendly ghost? maybe she will listen to the cries of a desolate mother? Vividha appeals to the spirit! Grabs her arm to set her free and realizes! Something is rotten here! Vividha comes to her senses! And recedes, the spirit is a real woman.. Kajri!!
Suman's lunar lunacy effect continues, as once again she gives a histrionic performance at the balcony on the terrace. She mocks the dark firmament, giddy with lunatic overconfidence at her sheer luck.. her day has finally come it's her time at last! She orders Guddi her handmaiden to bring Atharv to the sacrificial altar!! she had Madhav at her feet in the red suitcase.. now she needs his father!! Suman holds the railing of the terrace and shouts out.. Kajri!! After thirty years the moment has arrived when she will wipe out Sujata's spawn! now you Kajri will be in peace! leave me and grant me peace too.. free me of your curse..
Giddy Guddi.. brings Atharv .. as lamb to the slaughter..
Wowie! What an episode.. loved it!! the song added to the hype.. seeing VCS..shaking a leg or two was a treat to watch. Smita bansal was in her stage persona getup.. brilliant performance.. seems to be her finale performance shots as Suman?? VCS, SS were great in role.. overall high pitched drama ..and more to come tomorrow when Ravish makes his entry and Suman and her mad crew are exposed.. Vividha clarifies some home truths!
