Devakshi OS : HOMECOMING

"Soha, jaldi nashta khatam karo, shayad Golu aur Dev aa gaye hai. Unki help karni hai humein" Sona told her six year old daughter as she got up from the dining table to open the door.

And true to her guess, as she opened the door, there stood Golu and Dev on the other side with three suitcases. The moment Golu saw his Bigchi he launched himself at her, "Good morning Ex-BigChiii" he said giving her a tight hug. Son laughed at his enthusiasm and almost fell over backwards with the amount of force the little one applied. "Good morning Golu! Sab okay hai naah? Apki mumma zyada royi toh nahin?" She asked him while patting his head lovingly.

Golu nodded his head vigorously and said, "Rone waali thi, but maine unhey sab samjha diya. Keh diya ki aap kabhi bhi mujhey milney aa sakti ho. Par main BigCha, Ex-Bigchi aur Suhana ke saath hi rahunga!" He declared happily once again making her laugh and Dev smile warmly who had by now come inside and kept the suitcases by the couch.

Soha who had been chewing her last bit of breakfast during all this, quickly washed her hands and ran to her father, "Yaaay Papa, aap aa gaye!" She said throwing her hands around his waist. Dev squatted down to his daughter's level and said, "Haan. Aap bulaye aur main na aun, aisa ho sakta hai kya?" Making Suhana smile even wider. But also made Golu make a face and turn to Sonakshi and say, "Ex-BigChi, ab main aur aap ek team aur Soha aur BigCha dusrey team, okay?" Sona hugged Golu tightly and said, "Bilkul. Ab hum dono ko koi alag nahin kar sakta" too which Golu happily high fived her while Dev and Soha laughed at Golu's antics.

Right at that moment they heard a knock at the door and all four heads turned towards the sound. They saw the man from the packers and movers standing at the door. "Sir, Ma'am, aapkey furniture aa gaye" Dev and Sona sprang up and started instructing them to bring their stuff and place the boxes in the living room. Soha and Golu for once quietly sat on the couch and looked on as the new furniture started coming in.

It had been Dev and Sonakshi's decision to move into a new house after Soha demanded that she wanted to live with both her parents. After a lot of difficulties they had decided to set aside their differences and shift into this new house so that Soha could have a normal childhood.

But Golu was really attached to Dev and couldn't live without him. So Sonakshi had proposed that Golu live with them. As the house was close and equidistant from both Bose house and Ishwari Niwas, Elena had not protested much. Also Vicky never had enough time for his son, so Dev thought it best that this plan be carried out. Elena knew her son was in safe hands and she decided she would go and meet him every two days.

After these arrangements had been made, Dev and Sonakshi had bought all the necessary furniture together and had also made Soha and Golu help in choosing. While Sonakshi moved in with Soha the night before, with half the furniture and set it in properly, Dev and Golu came in the morning with the remaining ones.

While Dev and Sonakshi were busy checking if all the boxes had arrived, Golu told Suhana, "Suhana, tu excited hai naah?" Suhana nodded enthusiastically and said, "Bohottt" Golu then moved closer to SOha on the couch and whispered, "Ab humein dursa plan bhi toh use karna hai." Soha looked on confused as Golu told her this. Seeing his sister's clueless face, Golu face palmed and said, "Tu bhi na Suhana, bohot dumb hai" Hearing this Soha smacked Golu on the arm lightly while he laughed silently.

He nodded his head in a helpless way and said, "Arey humein ab aisa plan banana hai taaki BigCha aur Ex-BigChi ek dusrey ko like karney lagey, okay?" Understanding his point Soha smiled excited and said, "Haan haan. Mere paas ek plan hai. Tumhey bataun?" Golu readily lent her his ear and listened to her plan studiously and showed her a thumbs up when she asked how it was.

It was their first step and Soha and Golu were sure it would work. Just as Dev closed the door after the packers and movers left and Sona opened one box to take things out, Golu made a dash for the open box and picked up the crystal vase lying right on top. He quickly ran in the other direction with it. Sona squealed and said, "nahin Golu, who girkey toot jayega!" Dev sensing chaos turned around to find Golu on top of the couch dangling the vase dangerously and Soha guarding Golu so that Sona cannot reach her.

He made a run for Golu but Golu jumped off the couch and ran. So now Golu and Soha ran in front while Sona and Dev tried catching hold of the vase from them. Just before Sona, who was in front of Dev, reached Golu, Soha clever put her foot out and Sona tripped. Before she could hit the floor, two strong arms caught her and she opened her eyes only to be faced with Dev's worried brown ones.

While they looked at each other as if in a trance, the kids high-fived and Golu said, "Dekha Suhana, tere brother ne kya kamal kiya. Jaise camp me BigCha ne BigChi ko save kiya tha Basketball match ke time, yahan bhi kar liya!" And then he smirked. Soha once again lightly whacked her brother on the head and said, "plan bhi mera tha. But tu nahin hota toh successful kaise hoti?" She said pulling his cheek. Hearing their loud whispering Sona and Dev snapped out of the trance and jumped apart as if they were on fire.

This elicited another round of laughter from the kids while the adults kicked themselves internally and groaned. They looked at each other and looked away. Both had only one thought in their minds. They had made the plan alright. God knows how they would manage to live with each other with these two bombs keeping an eye on their every move!
