Madan Mohan is indisputably the Ghazal king of Hindi film music. But composing Ghazals was just one of his expertise. His mastery was at full display in a wide genre of songs showing his versatility. The lyrical excellence of most of his songs complemented by the lilting melodious scores and delivered by the most suited voice is what made his song extra special and memorable..
His name may not be known to most, but his compositions is known to all. Madan Mohan, the talent-extraordinaire is perhaps one of the most underrated composers, who never got his due in his lifetime, but is today talked of as a retro-legend of Bollywood music. As someone once rightfully commented...
"Some are destined to be on earth much before their time, their glory to be sung many years after they are gone. Madan Mohan is one such hero."
