Soha tells Dev that he can't talk to her mother like that. Dev is taken aback. He says sorry to Soha. But Soha says that her mother taught her to say sorry to the person who was hurt. She asks him to say sorry to her mother.
Dev says sorry to Sonakshi.
Me: Bhaiya, aa gayee naa apki asliyat beti ke saamne? Isi liye kab se bol rahee thi ki apna attitude sudharo. Lekin lagta hain apna dimaag hamari tarah locker mein lock karke aate ho. Abhi tak apke palle yeh baat nehin padi ki aapko Soha ne Papa wali award tab di jab aapne uske aur uske Mummy ke liye effort lagayi.
Lagta hain aap ka dimaag bhi aapke mummy jaisa hi chalta hain. Woh sochti hain ki Sona usse Soha de jayegi aur Soha bhi sabko bhool ke Dixit house mein aap logon ke saath jam jayegi. Aur aap sochte hain ki aap Soha ko pamper karenge aur uske Maa ko attitude dikhayenge, lekin phir bhi Soha aap ko pasand karegi. Aap log apne delusion ke liye kuch lete kyun nehin?
Anyways, Soha tells Dev that he is a better father than she imagined and Sona is the best mother. So she can't choose. She asks Golu whom he'd choose? Golu says that he'd have chosen his BigCha. But Soha says that it's not that easy for her because she loves them both. Dev and Sona tell Soha that they love her too. Then they leave with each other's kids.
Dev reaches home and tells Golu that he wants to go back and see Soha. Golu asks Dev why he is going back. He says that he missed six years of her life. He can't stay away from him anymore. Golu says that he will tell Soha to choose Dev because he would have chosen his BigCha in a heartbeat.
Then Golu comes in and sees the chudails of Dixit mansion are waiting to pounce on him. They ask him where is the treasury... err... I mean Bhaiya. Golu says that BigCha dropped him and then went to ex-BigChi's home. Ishwari gets zor ka jhatka zoron se. Radha asks why. Golu says that he went to meet Soha.

Dev gets jealous. Bhala meri cheez pe Jatin butter kaise laga raha hain?
Bhaiya calls Sona and asks her to meet outside. She asks why did he come there. He says that he doesn't want anyone around his daughter. Soha says that Jatin is her childhood friend and he is very close to Soha. But Dev doesn't want to listen. He says that his daughter is upset with him. He can't handle that. Soha says that Soha loves Jatin. If she doesn't see him, she misses him. Dev has no answer to that.
Me: So let me get this straight, Bhaiya. Aapka matlab hain ki Soha agar sad face karke apne kamre mein baithi rahe to chalega. Lekin koi aur usse hasaye to aapko problem hain.

Anyways, Dev sits down on the pavement and Sonakshi sits beside him. He says that he is the Dev Dixit and Sonakshi is the business woman of the year. But still they are sitting on the road. What's the use of their money if they can't keep their daughter happy.
Sona says that if they are so confused, then Soha must be very confused too.
Dev hesitatingly stammers if Sona will consider going back together for Soha. But Sona doesn't say anything. Dev asks her to say something. Sona says that she can't say anything to that question. If she says no, then she is saying no to her daughter. If she says yes, then their problems will make Soha's life difficult.
Dev agrees with her.
She says that she will try again to talk to Soha. She asks Dev to trust her to take care of this.

Me: The thing is though, Bhaiya wasn't looking very happy with the prospect of Sonakshi convincing Soha to give up her plan to see Mummy Daddy together. Lagta hain, Bhaiya kal apne Maiya ko jo lambi phenk ke aaye hain, woh thoda jyada lamba tha...
Sonakshi goes in and talks to Soha. Jatin helps her. He says that she is making her mother weak. Soha asks her mother if that is true. Sona agrees. She says that they want to see Soha happy. But they don't want to get back together. Soha agrees to drop her idea. Sona is happy and asks her to promise that she will always be happy. Soha promises.
Me: Hain? Itni jaldi maan gayee? Mereko to laga tha maanegi nehin. Waise yeh to trailer tha. Picture abhi baaki hain, mere dost.
Anyways, Sonakshi excitedly calls Dev to report that mission has been successful. Bhaiya said that he is relieved in the same tone I say, "Yes, sure. I will have more salad"...
Sonakshi excitedly continues that her chota packet made all of them dance. She also points out that she takes after Dev. Dev also points out that she takes after her. They both get silent.
Anyhoo, Sonakshi tells him bye. Bhaiya also hangs up the phone.
Me: Now here I thought that Bhaiya will be dancing bhangra to get rid of annoying ex-wife and winning daughter with the same trick. But his expression was like I got when I heard Trump got elected. The "All hopes are lost", "Liberty is dead", "The world is coming to an end" expression.
Except I hate Trump and I thought Bhaiya hates ex-wifey. No? 😉
That night at dining table, Soha asks Bijoy to book tickets to Kolkata for her, Asha and Bijoy (Precap scene). Asha says that there is still time for Durga Puja. Soha says that she doesn't want to go there for puja. She wants to go there to live. Since her parents can't live with each other, she doesn't want to live with them either.
Sona says that Soha promised that she will be happy. Soha said yes, she did promise to be happy. But she still wants to live with both her parents or neither of them. She says that Sonakshi and Dev can come and meet her there. But they have to come together. She said that she is respecting their decision. Now they have to respect hers.
Bijoy gets happy. He says that Sonakshi can get her work done and go to Kolkata soon. They will take Soha there. Asha reprimands him but he doesn't listen. Sona is in shock.
Me: Ookay, ranting time. Sonakshi, are you kidding me? Who is the parent here? Speaking of parent, wait. There is another parent I have to put in place. You just wait your turn.
Bijoy, I think you have lost your mind completely. Are you getting senile at your old age? Soha not wanting to live with any of her parents mean that she doesn't want to live with her mother either who I'd like to remind you is your daughter. Who gave you any right to take Soha where you want without her parents' permission?
And Saurabh? He is getting married to Ronita whose family is in Delhi. Are you telling him to go separate way after marriage? Because he can't expect Ronita to suddenly move to Kolkata from Delhi with no warning.
And Sonakshi. Your father might have lost his marbles. But you have yours intact right? Which minor child gets to choose to live with neither of the parents? You know that as a parent you are expected to discipline your kids, yes?
Let's see here the holes in Soha's logic. Soha doesn't want to miss either parents. So when she goes to picnic with friends, will both of you go as her hanger on? When she gets older and wants to go for higher studies, jobs etc., will the two of you tag on? When she gets married, will she move her husband in or would you two shift in her home?
No, right? Regardless how much tantrums she throws, you won't do everything she asks for.
She needs to understand that you don't get every single thing you ask for in life. The world does not revolve around anyone.
Look what Ishwari did to Dev by making him believe that he just has to ask and everything he wants he will get. Do you want to raise Soha believing the same?
She needs to know that while she gets to pick which parent she'd like to live with. She can't pick no parents to live with. And you will have to tell your dad to stop coming between you and your child.
Otherwise, both Ishwari and your dad will take over parenting and you will be left with the messed up by-product.

How can a 6 years old book tickets to Kolkata? She can't. She needs money for that. You guys provided her the money.

Not once it came into your head to tell Soha that her manipulations won't work now. When she is old enough to earn money and buy her own tickets and live on her own, then she gets to call the shots not before.
How difficult is it to remind here that a kid can't decide to ditch her parents for grandparents?
Now I am doubly sure Sona that had Soha been born at Dixit house, you'd have turned into her maid while Ishwari would be calling the shots like now Bijoy is calling the shots. She is your daughter, damn it. Did you forget that?

You could not ground her? You could not take away her toys or her video games? You could not stop her fun times? You could not tell Soha that she can't twist her words to manipulate people? What could you not do?
