Their intention isn't to confirm whether the photos are same. They already know that; or atleast Chulbul has seen both the photos.

There really isn't any reason to go behind the photo in Svetlana's room because it doesn't prove anything. Svetlana can always say that the photo is of some other girl named Svetlana.
