Then there are very few sensible women in this world. Virtually everyone will fight to the end in this battle, and only then will send everything to the devil.
And she will fight much more serious weapons and methods. Even the one who was invested with self-esteem, who in theory knows perfectly well what to do, but the real world, it is so real
Few can leave immediately, especially from her husband
And we have Maya - for her that love, that hand, which she took, that promise is all a loop on the neck
And another thing, if Maya needed to throw off at least one thing, but she needs to overcome three barriers at once. Three barriers, which she can't overcome, including with her mother, though Jhanvi also ruins her mercilessly all her life
In many respects for Maya played the words "Do not think that Maya is alone", she believed. He returned the presents, she checked. But Maya doesn't know that the provocative return of gifts was Saanj, Vandana and Ayan. Arjun didn't think about it at all until he was named by alphonse. She catch illusion

Arjun in this regard is just a typical man. Anyone who wants to be taller, have more freedom, more rights, more. It's his friendship everywhere, and nothing like that. But if Maya sends an air kiss to Ayan or embraces her, Arjun immediately declares his rights. Typical behavior of a male
Plus marriage - for a man woman is already his and will not go anywhere. He is confident in this, because even Saanj doesn't go anywhere. No, she calls him constantly, sends messages. And Maya, she will always be there. He doesn't see her, therefore, he believes that she will always be there. And by the way to everything else he is always sure that nothing will happen to her

@Darcy I had male friends in college, I have male colleagues in office. Post marriage the bachleor males keep a dignity to you and post marriage you give dignity to your male friend or colleague. It's a bit different. How much ever close you are, you will keep an appropriate distance. My hubby too have female friends and colleagues. What we saw is unhealthy and no wife will tolerate that. That's why people are not finding that fault with Maya for spiking drinks or behaving bull shit way with VM. Because mother and friend is not things to justify any rubbish.

Exactly laska Arjun can be possessive that too with his brother. But Maya should not feel insecure as a wife.
The best analogy to what we see for Saanjh and Maya is. Maya protected Saanjh no one saw it, only saw she spiked drinks.
Saanjh behaved bad because the drink was spiked, well no need to see clingy hug or almost kiss

It is like Congress won in Punjab anti incumbency, BJP won in UP faulty EVMs😆😆😆

What Gurmehar Kaur told Freedom of Speech, what Virender Sehwag did troll

Yes I have male colleagues too, and my husband has female colleagues and a few female friends. Some of my old male friends from Uni I am still in touch with. But we ALL know our limit. No wife or husband would tolerate the behavior Arjun and Saanjh displayed.

I would be interested to know if Maya behaved like that with a male friend of her's, if anyone would be questioning Arjun's wrath and asking where his self-respect is for not dumping her? Or will they agree that he has every right to separate his wife from her inappropriate friendship with a male? I wonder if like the blame for being a "Home wrecker" always seem to go to the female in the equation, no matter how wrong the man is, a woman taking charge, and taking action is viewed as negative? Where as, a man in the same position may be applauded for his intervention or his lack of tolerance for his wife's closeness to another man? I dont apply ANY gender bias here. I think ANY spouse would not be happy with that display and have full rights to do what they need to, to put an end to it.

@ShrutiRavi:

Yes when Maya "Saved" Saanjh, NO one thanked her. Not even Saanjh. (She was too busy enjoying hugs with Maya's husband and clinging to him in a really inappropriate way). But when the drinks get spiked everyone sees that, and Saanjh I bet comes like a hypocrite to "confront" Maya about the spiking when she herself is the shameless one for doing PDA with a married man in front of 100 people. Just because someone is intoxicated they don't all behave that way. The old saying "In Vino Veritas" is totally true. The true character and intentions come out when your "Under the influence"

@shruthiravi, Maya is total-control. She separated Arjun from everyone. Maya cares about her happiness more than about Arjun's happiness
It is very convenient for someone to forget how much Maya gave freedom to Arjun. Unreasonably in fact gave. In this, too, her mistake

Maya is trying to adapt to the middle class, to a small room, and to a large number of people in the apartment, after living in a huge penthouse with only Jhanvi.
She tolerates the friendship of Arjun and Dusky, although if call things by their proper names, this friendship was never normal. She was always unhealthy. But Maya accepts and tolerates it. It's convenient to forget that Dusky accept Maya as a friend, and then Dusky put knife in Maya's back. In the end, Arjun was in an obscene consistain in the restaurant, not with other girl, but with the one whom Maya considered a friend. This is already a double betrayal. And even after that, Maya extinguish a fire on Saanj's clothes with her own hands

If not for the sake of Arjun's happiness, she did it, then for what? She did not need to endure it all. If she really wanted to get rid of his family and Saanj, she could do it in a much less painful way for herself

But it's convenient to omit, otherwise it does not fit the definition of Maya psycho-total-control

Yes, for Arjun everything should be at his will. For him, Maya is his only, and no one else. But for him not only Maya, but also a friend, flirting, and lying and drinking, and in general, everything that's on his mind. He knew what kind of love this was. Maya told him. But again it is convenient to howl that he was locked up in a cage and demanding some retaliation. He himself gave his consent

In general, nobody ever listens to Maya. She quite clearly and warns, but all conveniently forget about it

What is called shifting from a sick head to a healthy one

And about control, Maya must understand who is in the cage, then she can let go. There are more than one person in the cage, there are two

@Laska people want Maya black, Saanjh white. That's why good deeds of Maya ignored and similarly Saanjh's incorrect intentions and selfish actions are ignored while making judgments. Actually both characters are grey.

Maya lacks many things, not only self respect. She's a broken, unstable person, who has been vicously deprived of love and care. She yearns for that deep love & protection which she thinks Arjun can provide. I would not judge her by the normal girl standard.

She's fought tooth and nail to get Arjun, knowing that he & Saanjh share a very special bond. She was well aware of the fact that Saanjh loves him. But she wanted Arjun by hook or by crook. For her, acquiring Arjun and keeping him is a challenge. Arjun is a NEED for her, more than love ( why, I have zilch idea, for I stronlgy believe Maya could do a lot better than Arjun who is nothing but a lazy, confused, worthless soul , but that's another story )!

It would have been very unlikely to her character if she was offended and insulted by Arjun's straying ways and walked out of the marriage.

I think the show will go the Gone Girl route. Arjun will end up being exesperated in the marriage and Maya will be getting more desperate to save her marriage with each passing day.
That's the beauty of the show. She can't behave like a haughty heroine who will get offended at everything and push Arjun away at every instances.
