Episode starts with Dev's taunting and Sonakshi is in pain. He keeps taunting until Sona asks for help. He is not willing to help a person (notice, I didn't say a woman. A human being, any human being) in pain. The background music is chirpy and adorable. How cute.
Sonakshi asks for help. But he continues to rub it in.
Sonakshi asks again. Dev starts laughing.
Me: Wow... What love. I wish Sonakshi had done the same when Dev was lying injured. She should have made him crawl for help and laughed at his face. After all, this is love. No? Log sahi kehte the. Dev jaisa pyaar idiot Sona kabhi nehin kar payegi. I hope to God, Dev ko uske jaisa pyaar karne wala mil jaaye. All Dev in this world deserves sadist people like him.
Anyways, here Radha is poisoning Ishwari's mind. Ishwari is confirmed that Sona will never come back in her... Sorry, in Dev's life. Radha tells her that Sona is in camping with Dev. She tells her that Sona wants to re-enter Dev's life through Soha. Ishwari gets worried. She wanted the grandkid with a bow tied around it's neck. But she didn't want the box that kid came in. She doesn't want the empty box cluttering her home anymore.
So Ishwari starts calling like a maniac over and over trying to find out if Dev is thinking with his head over his shoulder.
Me: Okay Maataji, let's see here.
Sonakshi is rich now. So much so that she can buy off half of your son's office on market value without blinking an eye. And considering she could make herself a success in much less time than your son (you guys struggled longest and hardest and had the toughest life remember?) without no struggle or hardship whatsoever, makes her so much more capable of earning a lot more with much more ease. So of course, your son's wealth is not something she needs or wants.
Now moving on your precious family. Which consists of, your brother and sister-in-law who are jointly two sides of the same disaster, your nephew who is a thief and most importantly you, the Kaal Nagini herself. So even Elena, the sister who ditched her and Golu, who wants to move out as soon as he can are not big enough draw for her to even think about coming back to your fold.
Moving on to what you think is the biggest selling point - your son. His incapability of sustaining ANY relationship outside the family he is saddled with is the proof that he is incapable of forming and maintaining long term relationship who is not tied to him by blood bond. Sonakshi has a friend who is not a blood relations and had friends throughout her life. Dev never had and still has zero relationship outside your dysfunctional family. What does it tell you about your son's nature?
Let me explain. It tells you that to even make friends, the amount of effort you need to give and the level of comfort and care you need to take, your son is not capable of it. So no, Sonakshi is not dying to be part of your shitty circle. Rest assured.
Anyhoo, Dev is trying to make a splint around her leg. Dev sips alcohol and offers Sonakshi. Sonakshi says no. They start going back and forth with sarcastic taunts with reference to past.
Me: I can see the love spilling over like waterfall. Someone get me a bucket to catch the precious drops so that all the people deprived of true lau can drink this nector.
And yes, that was a sarcasm.
Moving on, Sonakshi decides to have fun. She shouts snake and Dev jumps. Then she starts laughing. But Dev babu could always dish it out but could not swallow the same return. Hence he gets mighty offended. He says that her sense of humour has gone worse. Sonakshi says that as usual he can't find laughter within him. He gets mad and grabs Sonakshi and asks if she thinks his life is a joke. Sonakshi replies that he is the one who made it a joke.
Anyhoo, long story short, they start recalling past romantic scenes looking into each other's eyes as if youtube video is playing there with romantic tung tung in the background.
Me scratching my brain and my brain scratching me: Hum dono ko kuch samajh nehin aa raha hain ki beechwala scene kidhar gaya. I think we are missing something. Agar koi (say my ex) grabs my arms like that after taunting me, mere ko achhe scenes to nehin yaad aayenge. Mere ko to bure scenes yaad aayenge. Kya main pagal hoon ya mera dimaag kharab hain. Koi enlighten kar dena please.
Anyways, Sonakshi is the first to notice rain stopped. She tells Dev. Dev moves away. But brings a blanket and covers her.
Sonakshi says thank you.
Me: Lo CVs. Ab yeh bhi hain. Pehle wala Naagin aunty ka chata hua chocolate bhi hain, ab blanket bhi hain. Bhaiya ke paas to daru ki supply hamesha hain. Beti ke camp mein bhi jeb mein bharke le aaye hain. Kya pata, kabhi beti ko treat chahiye ho ya Golu ko ek ghoot pilani ho. Aur saath mein kya kya supply hain, sab Bhaiya ko pata hain. Ek baat batao. Yeh bhaiya ka backpack hain ya Sonakshi ka? Pakad ke to aise baithe hain aur Sonakshi ko offer aise kar rahe hain jaise backpack unka ho aur woh koi ehsaan kar rahe hain. *High fives brain*...
I want to say something here. Sonakshi maintained her decency even after Dev made her ask for help despite seeing her in pain. Now go back and watch when Sonakshi helped him and compare them side by side. You will see who is the better human being. I know in crisis which one I'd like to have on my side and it's not Dev.
Anyhoo, both remember Suhana and thinks about her. So Sonakshi thanks him for conquering his fear for Suhana. Dev says that he loves Suhana more than anyone. He has rights on her and she has right on him.
At that time, Ishwari's call connects and she hears Sona saying that had he given her that right, they would have been a happy family.
Ishwari gets 440 volts shock. Just kidding (I wish)... She just gets emotional shock to hear that her 8 year old is in danger from getting assaulted by desperate adult woman. So she keeps on calling as if she just heard a woman telling her husband she wants to sleep with him.
Me: Nope, you won't have been. You know why? The reason is eavesdropping on your conversation. Yes, had you conveniently died of childbirth, then you'd have been a happy family. Ishwari, Dev, Soha and your picture on the wall.
They both start remembering their break up scenes.
Dev bites out that rights are given to "Apne" not people who go away leaving them.
Sona answers back that she was never his own.
Me: Funny, how Bhaiya's excuses to save his ass are getting lamer day by day. She didn't leave first and then you refused to give her rights of a wife. You didn't give her rights of a wife and that's why she left you. At least keep the correct logical order in your tiny memory compartment of your brain if you can.
And let's not forget Bhaiya, in that logical sense, you should not ever had any rights on Sona. Because you broke up the first time. Remember?
And Sona, glad you recognised it. Now do remember it when your daughter starts blackmailing you.
Dev says that he doesn't want to listen her useless talks.
Sona answers back, "Of course, the questions he has no answers for are useless for him."
Dev is silenced.
Me *Standing Ovation": Kya jawab diya behena. Aa gale lag jaa. Koi mere behalf pe city maar do. Mujhe nehin aati.
Sona says she can't wait to go away from him. Dev retorts the same and decides to go back.
Sona was hopping in one foot. Dev holds out his hand but Sona doesn't take it. She keeps on hopping.
Soha and Golu are waiting for them at the camp when Sona comes hopping.
They come to camp and Golu sees them. Soha sees Sonakshi injured. She asks who put the split. Sonakshi looks at Dev but doesn't mention his bedside manner. Soha excitedly thanks Dev for taking care of her mother.
Dev very sweetly says that thank you Suhana. He had to help because she is her mother no?
Me: Good God, you dhongi. I have never seen a more two-faced person. Hamesha apni maa se jhooth bola, biwi se jhooth bola, khud se jhooth bola. Aur aaj beti ke saamne bhi jhooth bol diya. Yeh bhi keh dete ki uske maa ka help aapne kaise aur kyun kiya.
Sonakshi thanks Golu for taking care of Suhana.
Anyways, Sona tries to walk but feels pain. Dev very nicely in a very sweetly concerned tone (yep totally different from the one that he uses away from Suhana) says, Sonakshi, I will take you to the room.
Sonakshi says that she doesn't need his help.
Dev says that they should not fight in front of Suhana like that.
Me: Bhai zara mujhe batana ki kaun sa chakki ka atta khake aisa girgit ke jaise nature banaya? Nehin seriously. Kaise aap Dixits rang badalte ho yaar. Of course ab to aap ko image banana hain Suhana ke saamne. Uske peeche kaise kameeno ki tarah behave karte ho woh thodi dikha sakte ho. Warna papa bolna to dur aapki shakal tak nehin dekhegi.
Sona kaise fit aayegi inke family mein batao. Usko aise rang badalna thodi aata hain.
Soha asks if Sonakshi is in pain. Dev jumps in and says that she is alright and he will drop her at room. So he leans in, puts Sonakshi's arm around his neck and gently holds her waist and leads her back into the room to Soha's delight.
Me: Now recall how nicely he helped her in jungle when Soha was not watching? Yep. Kuch Rang Dixits ke Aise Bhi...
Soha and Golu is dreaming of fairy tale without realising that this is not a fairy tale but more of a Savdhaan India episode.
Precap: Soha brings Golu, Sona and Dev together. She says that she wants to stay with both of them. Dev says that they can't live together anymore.
Soha says that if she can't stay with them together, she doesn't want to stay with either of them.
Me: Okay Dev and Sona, here's the parenting come in.
Say if a child demands a particular flavoured medicine which you don't have and says that if he can't have that flavoured medicine then he is not going to take any medicine, you know what parents say?
Sorry, that option is not available. You either take the medicine that is available or take the injection doctor is giving you. Not taking any medicine is not an option.
The same way, either she can live with Dev or live with Sona or she can alternate between both homes like rotating weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
But what option she doesn't have is not live with any parents because guess what? That is not an option available for any minor children.
Let's see just how good are you as parents. Remember, kids are not your best buddies. They are your children. Their job is to grow up and your job is to BE grown ups.
P.S. Next week I am participating in a ping pong and air hockey contest at work between 1 - 2 p.m. (They offered free pizza lunch. And sorry, this lazybones only works for food). So the updates next week will be like today.
