Seems like it's been ages since I felt inspired to make a post, but I absolutely loved today's ep (welll...the Suraj-scenes only, actually).
And for me, this scene was the highlight of the ep. In dream-verse, Suraj has everything he thinks he wants (all of it is what's at the top of his priority list at this point)-he's free, the villains (Chakor mentions only KNR and Ragini-Suraj loved them both once upon a time, he clearly can't care less about Ranjana) are rotting in jail, he's won the hearts of the basti people and even his room, that he saw stripped bare for the first time that very evening, is back to its old white&blue glory.
But all he cares about is Chakor leaving him. Unlike the last nightmare he had about her, this one isn't about her coming in harm's way, but simply them parting ways and that shatters him. So he does know already, albeit at a sub-conscious level, that she's the centre of his universe (the Chakor he imagines also indicates he knows she reciprocates despite the denial).
The way he said "humaari shaadi ho chuki hai!!", Chakor's comment about two happy families living in the house once she's gone...gaaahhh I LOVED this scene, man!!
Also the little detail of him bolting the door shut as soon as he enters (I was very happy he did no such thing when Imli came to their room in the last ep :P)...what a well-crafted scene!
This one really reminded me of the one in which he says he's freeing her from the marriage after the whole Imli proposal and emotional behnaaa convo at the temple. What a contrast!
Back then, he calmly said he was "prepared to let her go, although it would be a financial loss and it was probably part of his penance" while Chakor was impressed at how stoic he was after the rejection. She even said stuff like "tumhaare andar ka accha insaan apni zanjeerein tod raha hai" (prophetic, much?). And now he's breaking down when Chakor is leaving him and waking up from his nightmare, distraught.
Also the scenes are so similar visually-both take place in their room, Chakor's dupatta is orange, Suraj's tee is light yellow (jackets are of a similar style as well...sort of) which serves to emphasize the differences between what's actually happening in the scene.
Just my interpretation of the dream (and the scene)...alternative opinions are welcome :)
