I feel without much technology bollywood was technically and vocally strong ...but with the advent of technology the unnessesary effects on voice ruined the vocal of Bollywood

vocally strong was the golden era where all singers were loved and respected for their singing ONLY -Mukeshji,Rafi saab,Kishore da,Lataji/Ashaji and many more..they didn't need x,y,z factor to stay in news or be bankable though kishore da had a-z factors in him..aajkal style,x factor blah blah zyaada chahiye..
regarding the poll options of course 90s👍🏼

If you are looking for vocally strong music and lyrics, the 90s are certainly not it. You have to go further back to the Rafi Saab, Kishore da era to get a more musically pure era. I really don't find the 90s that great when you compare them with those era lyrics and voices honestly.
The thing though is, every era evolves and tastes change. Now the trend is towards more dance and foot tapping music and more mainstream, not clubs. I come from a community where we do not have sangeet as part of our wedding ceremony, but now it is very common to have an evening of dancing as part of the wedding ceremonies even in the US and certainly in India. The songs that are played are the foot tapping, danceable, non vocally strong music.

Good music never dies. And certainly beautiful voices are there in every era. There is a place for that in every era be in popular music or classical music. I used to think there will never, ever be voice like SPB. But I have been proven wrong with Hariharan, Karthik and so many new voices both men and women. So there is good music in this era, there are good lyrics, even inspirational. I was so surprised how the lyrics of the Dangal title track helped me overcome fear in a personal situation this year.

this poll was not about a great period for music it was just for noticing the public opinion on modren and traditional muisc ...today music got so changed so much ...its difficult for me to adjust with today modren music..but yeah i have been listening rafi kishore era too since childhood...i feel not every song of rafi or kishore or lata asha are great they had great songs they had medicore songs they had some senseless songs too like this happen in every generation of music...its not like everything they did is classy ... i dont feel that aplam chaplam of lata mangeskar is something great...same is case with 90 or 2000 music but today era is seeing more of mediocre to worse songs ...the traditional thing is missing ...we have adopted western way
