JNDSD~ My take~ Friday 10.3.17 ~ The artistic scatterbrain !
To be scatty and forgetful is quite common if one has lots to deal with. It's not unknown with many with all the humdrum that goes around ,one leading a fast paced lifestyle. Being forgetful does point to the fact, that a person is unable to think seriously or systematically, and remembering things can end up being a chore. So with regards to this episode , I look to it in terms of how much or not as the case may be certain characters remember, particular events significant to the storyline.
We have Suman all volatile! she recalls well, when Guddi questions her motives regards letting Atharv drive to Madhav to parents.. did she have killing both in mind. Guddi is getting giddy with current success , to even reckon, Suman would have done it easily .Poor Guddi even on asking, seems to forget she will never find out what the evil Suman is really angling for? Suman appears easily excitable ! when all she wants is to be seen as in control! but clearly appears to be losing it when she finds out from Guddi that Atharv wanted Madhav's parents address! Suman blames Guddi for being capricious and taking Atharv in the first place! The fact that Atharv may have caught a glimpse of Vividha .. really is shaky ground .. both this evil pair bank on Atharv's drugged down memory to be at bay. Their worry is if his faint connections of forgetfulness unlocks his memory recall of Vividha!
So the young hero returns home after fighting off bravely the kidnapping war! Madhav even faces the guilty mamma Ankit! Who treats Madhav as some little forgetful infant. That he is not! as he asks Ankit about the tell tale scratches on his hands? None is safe when Madhav is about! his memory is fertile and charged! Although in the main,the likes of Ankit see Madhav as harmless. But the reality is, Madhav is all there! He is a keenly curious child who discloses quite a bit on matters of interest ,like that Mr fuddy- duddy!!, Ravish elucidates , Mr, Raghav. now Madhav prattles away, such a grouch he was, drove him around the bend by throwing his weight around! It's when Madhav mentions ,that the man was unbelievably forgetful and a complete scatterbrain!.. Vividha with a lost pensive smile couldn't block the flood of memories of some one...her getting late for college! Atharv offering a lift on his bike, but how incorrigibly flighty he was, always rushed off his feet. Forgetful with keys, wallet!!she smiles as she hears her Madhav happily chattering away..ah yes.. even now she remembers those days with Atharv.
When it comes to rearing their animated son, both parents Ravish and Vividha are on the ball about teaching Madhav good moral values. Ravish reiterates and warns Raghav for trespassing, into an unknown house he was lucky those people were good , what if they turned out to be baddies? But Madhav memory serves him well, as he discloses, he did know one person .. badi dadi grandma was there! Ravish wants to ensure that Madhav is not being frivolous with his unlikely claim but Madhav reiterates grandma was there!! Its awkward for Ravish hearing about his mother being , where Madhav was at this mr. Raghav's house.. the best way would be to put a stop to this discussion, nip it in the bud! discourage all from badgering Madhav with further questions. But Vividha is preoccupied with the thought, why would make up such a tale? Also if Suman was there, why what was she doing there? She even more alarmed when hugs his mum and reveals to her that dadi was doing horrid things! It is understandly Ravish's mother is involved, it's unclear whether he protects her image of piety image or is it to make Vividha realize that Madhav is a child at a very impressionable must have seen someone like dadi. Besides, too much thought ,can also be misleading. But Vividha knows her son well ,she knows he is unlikely to make things up. He is as pure as a lamb and innocent like the dove..
This lost soul too is pure as the lamb but not as cunning and wily than the serpent. Today the girl of his dreams conjures up in his imagination , in the flicker of the candle light. Today his dream girl face is not unclear.. those waiting eyes of bride are two forlorn pools of a long wait. Madhav said his dad was Ravish .. his mother Vividha .. Atharv eyes close and there he sees her .. the name Vividha escapes from his lips.. two dark stealth figures watch , beaten at their game. They tried so hard to flush that name from his mind and here he is.. associating the name ,who knows.. to what he saw short while ago! Terror flashes on Suman's face, she has dealt so to speak with blocking off his long term memory , but never considered his short term memory of this life that she given him.
Is there any head or tail of what this lost soul searches for? Atharv pours over a piece of sketch paper with his pencil. Suddenly the notes of a familiar old tune drifts in the air around him.. with the trembling ,blowing, fluttering of the lord Krishna's flute.. slowly his heart pours out Vividha's new sketch , etches her winged eyes-brows and waiting eyes.. Vividha.. Guddi is speechless without actually seeing her face to face, what strange coincidence is this that he can reproduce Vividha's face?? It seems his short term memory is kick starting his long term memory. Well, it so happens that the artist in Atharv never got blocked off! Try though evil may .. sufferings actually gets the best in him to push itself out of him. His imagination swelters to such a degree that slowly the frozen blocks of oblivion melt away , bringing forth the image of Vividha .. from whom his heart wants not to depart from.. Vividha! his memory calls out.. as presently he shelves the unfinished picture in the drawer of his mind..
Evil Suman waits in the dark shadows.. once more she commits the folly of disallowing Atharv's creative capture ,his love from becoming a reality! she goes into the drawer takes the sketch and sets it alight... thoughtless wicked woman fails to realize that.. Vividha's image now resides in Atharv's short term memory! All forces are working towards them meeting yet again! There is always the risk, Suman faces, that in his next creative session.. Atharv may etch Vividha's complete face! where will Suman stand then? Is this an anklet that I hear? Suman has memory of some past incident, a curse imbedded in the foundation of this house Is this an anklet that she hears?.or is this her ploy to terrorize Guddi ,manipulate Guddi into doing something heinous for her? perhaps to kill Vividha?.
Whereas the rest of the world sleeps.. Vividha a mother is awake,she stands by her window and looks into the peaceful silence of the night. She ponders on her son's disclosure.. Atharv too stands awake, stares into the night from his window ,as he savors the memory of Vividha walking away from him with Madhav.. his whole being ,though sullen, still feels refreshed ,as his soul cries out to the mother taking Madhav away ..depart not from my heart..
Another fine episode, Madhav ,bless him! was the star of the episode ,with his head firmly screwed on his little shoulders. Atharv to me in the episode celebrates the creative ,an artist in the true sense of the word. He has an inflicted or induced memory loss of his previous four years ..but it still fails to obstruct the creativity that is inherent within him.. ie.. artistic skills. Some gracefully portrayed scenes between Atharv , Vividha and Madhav.. have a restful weekend .. love hammie 11.3.17
