Yeah the job thing definitely makes sense, even without papers he could bully/bribe small restaurant owners not to hire her. 😡 perhaps that's why she has to start her own venture...

I feel with the papers Shaurya might be trying to check whether Mehak will back out of her decision & call bluff,obviously instead of letting go of his ego,in this manner he is letting go of Mehak.

PS: Some fans in fb comments speculate a divorce would imply a legal wedding, which would imply 6 months of reconcilation attempt time given by court. This is not below Shaurya since he would not even need to ask for forgiveness from Mehek, his ego stays and he even gets back Mehek.
