Ishra hold each others hand and went inside the gurudwara.ishita covered her head with the duppata seeing everyone doing so. Raman just smiled seeing this. Soon they were sitting in the darbar and was praying.
Ishita-please baba ji, raman ko top karwa do, I know he is working very hard for it, but I also know it is very tough .i am ready to do anything to help him in it. I don't want him to be discouraged. Bahut mushkil se Raman apne purane dard ko bhula paaye hai. I want him to be happy always. She prayed closing her eyes.
Raman-baba ji, u know I don't have much in my life. And now I don't want anything other then ishita and our parent.my every happiness is just ishita, please always keep her close to me. I will never ask anything from u ever. And yes fulfil all her wishes. He prayed looking at her.
After doing the prayer, they went to the langar area, where food was being prepared and served. Ishra went to the kitchen and start helping in cooking. After helping there they went and helped in serving people. They were too happy doing seva together.
After doing the work Ishra went and sat in a corner looking around. Ishita was too happy being with raman and do was raman. He just wounded his arms around her holding her protectively. Ishita smiled at his closeness.
They were sitting like this when Raman said-achcha gudiya, if I top in board. What u will gift me.
Ishita looked at him not getting what he wanna ask.
Raman-arey main first aaunga, toh mujhe kya milega.
Ishita -mere paas toh kuch nahi dene ki, except my friendship. If u want some gift u tell me today only. I will ask money from appa and will bring it for u. Kya chahiye aapko. She asked innocently.
Raman -no I don't want anything which we can buy. I want some very special gift from u, which I can cherish forever. Jo itna special ho ki uski koi keemat naa lagaa sake.
Ishita think for a while and didnt get what she can gift him. So she said-ok, I will think of it. First let's eat something, I am very hungry.
Raman-have u ever ate in any langar.
Ishita nodded in no.
Raman hold her hand and said-ok, then come, let's eat here. I promise u will never forget the taste, it's just too yummy. Khaogi naa.
Ishita nodded and both went. They settled in the row and was waiting for food. Soon they were served. Ishita put her hand in the food to eat and winced in pain.
Ishita -ahh, kitna garam hai. Main jal gayi.
Raman-oh who told u to put finger like this in hot food. He said blowing air on her fingers. After sometime, she felt good and said-now I am OK, I will eat now.
Raman-no need, I will feed u. Saying so he start feeding her small morsels blowing air. Ishita happily ate.
Ishita-umm, it's too yummy.
Raman -told u naa. He said feeding her. Both had little food and then they washed their hands. After spending some more time, Ishra was about to go back when ishita said-raman, Aap jaiye, I just come.
Raman nodded and went while ishita went to one of the Granthi and talked for sometime and then went back to Raman.
Raman-what u were talking to that uncle.
Ishita-nothing much, let's go. She said sitting on the cycle.
Raman start riding the bicycle while ishita was lost in thoughts.
Raman-gudiya, after today I will meet u after ten days, when my exam will start. Actually it's only ten days left for my exam and I don't want to leave any chance in preparing hard, OK.
Ishita nodded and raman continued driving. After some time raman dropped ishita and went his home.
Ishita slept too happily that day thinking about their moments of togetherness.
Next day ishita went to school at her regular time but she came back little late then usual that to her dress was a complete mess. Amma saw it and asked-ishu, what happened kanna. How ur uniform is so dirty.
Ishita-nothing amma, main gir gayi thi. She said with hesitation and went running to her room before amma could ask anything.
Amma felt fishy with her behavior but brushed the thought thinking that she is over thinking.
But next day also ishita came late with dirty uniform. Amma again asked but she went giving some excuse.
This went for four days, everyday ishita came home little late with dirty clothes. She asked the driver but he didn't tell anything about it. She told this to appa.
Appa got worried and asked ishita about it but she only said that, she is not doing anything wrong. And if they trust her, then don't ask anything from her.
They got worried thinking what she is doing. At last they called raman and told him everything.
Appa-i do trust ishu, I know she can never do anything wrong kanna. But she is not telling anything to us and we r worried coz of it.
Raman too got worried hearing this and said-u don't worry appa, I will inquire about it. Saying so he hung the call and decide to investigate about it as he knows well that ishita will never tell him anything if he ask straightly.
Next day, raman went to school without telling anyone and was waiting for the last bell. After the bell, raman saw ishita got out of the school and walked to that gurudwara where they went last Sunday. He got confused and called their parents too. He went behind her and saw her getting into the gurudwara.
He was waiting for their parents and soon they came. At that time, their driver too came with the car.
Mr iyer saw the driver and asked-what u r doing here.
Driver-i pick baby ji from here only from last four days.
Amma-why don't u tell us before.
Driver-baby ji requested me. I couldn't deny her. He said looking down.
Toshiji-u people can question him later, first go and see what she is doing inside.
Everyone nodded and went inside to see what ishita was doing. And all got shocked seeing what she was doing, she was sweeping the floor along with few ladies and girls. At first they thought they r seeing someone else but later saw she was actually ishita. All were confused seeing her doing that.
All went to her while she was lost in her work. Sensing someone's eyes on her, she raised her head and got scared seeing all. She left the broom on the floor and stand up in a corner.
Amma went to her and glared her. Ishita looked down in fear. Amma was about to say something when Toshiji said-not here, take her home. Amma nodded and was taking ishita.
Ishita-please amma, I will answer u ever thing but first let me finish my work.
Amma-chup chap chalo.
Ishita-please amma.
Appa-let her do her work. Go kanna. Ishita went and start cleaning the area while everyone was just looking at her. She has never done a single work in her house and here she was cleaning the floor for god knows why. Raman was getting a little why she is doing it but his heart wasn't believing it.
After an hour, all reached iyer mansion.ishita was standing like a culprit looking down.
Appa went to her and said-why u were doing that, kanna. Do u want money for anything that's why u were doing work.
Ishita nodded in no.
Appa-then why.
Ishita-i was doing seva, Kyunki main chahti thi ki meri mannat puri ho jaaye. She said in a low tone.
Raman closed his eyes understanding the matter.
Amma-kaisi mannat.
Ishita-i want Raman to top in board. Toh woh akele itna hard work kar rahe the, u thought to help. She said making everyone shocked.
All looked at Raman, who was standing there with teary eyes. Before anyone can say anything, raman went out of the place.
Ishita ran behind him, amma was about to stop ishita but appa hold her hand.
Amma-let me stop her. Ishita aisa kaise kar sakti hai.
Appa-kyun bhool gayi, u kept varalakshmi vrat for me. Ishita is also doing same. Don't interrupt in their moment. We will talk to her later. He said smiling.
Ishita went out and see Raman was standing near the tree. She went and realised he is crying.
Ishita tried to touch him when he said-dont touch me.
Hearing this ishita start crying bitterly.
Ishita-main toh... main toh bas... aapke liye. She couldn't complete due to her hiccups when Raman turned and took her in a bone crushing hug. Feeling his arms around her, she start crying more loudly.
Raman-shh bachcha, rote nahi.
Ishita-aapne daanta. She said crying loudly.
Raman -maine kab daanta.
Ishita-u said not to touch u. Why.
Raman -why u did so gudiya.
Ishita-coz I want to do it for u. Main nahi kar sakti kya. She said looking at him.
Raman cupped her face and wiped her big tears with his thumb saying-nahi, tum nahi kar sakti.only I can do everything for u. U r my gudiya, tumhe sirf muskurana hai. Nothing else. Saying so he pecked her temple while she snuggle more into him.
