Hey Guys So Kelly & I decided to watch Phase 1 again & analyse the episodes, she posted the Analysis for the first episode yesterday and I am posting the analysis for the second episode today. Whoever wants to join us on this is most welcome😊 Also this is my first ever episode Analysis & I suck at summarising so please go easy on😆 But do let me know what I can do to improve!

The episode begins with Kailash's friend asking him for Vividha's hand for his son and KK not just rejects the proposal but does so in the most insulting way! He also goes on to describe the dreams that he has regarding his daughter's prospective groom! Someone who lived in a palatial house and Atharv's humble abode is shown! A house with a innumerable Vehicles lined up on the gate and Atharv arriving on his bike is shown, A house with so many servants that his daughter wouldn't have to lift a finger for anything and Atharv is shown working in the Tabela! He says that he wants his daughter to marry someone rich and not a poor dreamer! On the other hand Atharv tells his mom proudly that he is dreaming!

And Before KK can treat his friend with more contempt, Vividha arrives & takes him away and the focus is on her feet & the sound of her payal and absence of the other payal in the other end of the city Atharv is distracted by this same payal's sound that was now tied to his calf, he can't help but keep glancing at it! (Just how affected is he is already?LOL)

Next Day KK explains to Vividha the virtues of Lord Ram & tells her that he'll find someone like Ram for her but Vividha insists that he find someone like Lord Shiva for her to which KK jokingly replies that Lord Shiva never got along with his Father in law and the father daughter-duo have a hearty laugh over it and as Vividha goes on to pour the holy water on Shiv-ling and chants Om namah shivay and Atharv is shown pouring water on himself! (There is a parallel of this today's episode!)

Later Atharv fights with his mom for still pining for the man who left them without a second thought & never bothered to look back again! He can't understand why the guy who left his mom still mattered so much to her! But Sujatha somehow manages to Calm her son down! By running behind our Drama Queen Atharv and feeding him morsel by morsel & putting up with his NakhrasLOL

This is a man who has been carrying this pain with him since childhood and has never been able to get over his father's abandonment and his vulnerability is similar to that of child's when he looks at his mom with the same pain!

Atharv excitedly explains his business plans to Sujatha & says that "Now nobody can come between me & my dreams" and right at that moment Vividha enters with her bicycle

Now what did this moment really foreshadow? That she was going to be a hurdle in achieving those dreams? or the motivation to fulfill them? or become his most important dream ever (Of marrying her I mean) or all the three?

Sujatha introduces Vividha & Atharv to each other, but of course Vivi opens her mouth & starts her papa puran again to which Atharv can't help but roll his eyesLOL

Vividha & Atharv argue once again with Atharv saying they are big people who don't be ready for emergencies & demand other's share of milk to which Vivi asks is she supposed to check the newspaper to find out if the milk would get spoiled or not? And Atharv gives her the most sensible answer that they could have easily skipped the kheer and served other stuff it's not like god keeps tabs on how much he is servedLOL

But soon the conversation takes a serious turn as Atharv taunts Vividha for going on & on about her father's respect and she in turn gets offended and taunts Atharv for not understanding what a father's respect is because he has never had a father! Thus opening Atharv's still fresh wound, Atharv walks away angry & hurt so does a disappointed Sujatha leaving a guilt ridden Vivi. Vividha goes home & finds out from her mom about Sujatha's struggle and how Atharv was abandoned by his father even before he was born, on the other hand Atharv shares the pain of being looked at with either questions or pity and how the world would always look at him as a illegitimate child!

For your first time, its decent!😆 ...*kidding**
Like you said, Episode one foreshadowed quite a few things in addition to setting the scene for time to come. One being that Vividha will come between Atharv and his dream, in the sense that she will become his world. She became a hurdle in achieving those dreams, because...it was her love for him that infuriated her father to the point of where he wanted to ruin Atharv so he could not marry his daughter. Another could be, she was his motivation...in the sense that he wanted the best for them both.

We saw the over-imaginative KK in the first episode! His reaction when his friend asked for Vividha's hand foreshadowed so many hurdles in Vividha's life. He loved his daughter, there was no doubt there, and he wanted her to experience the best of the best, so his own head will always remain high. There was nothing wrong with the Sujata household, but it was merely not good enough for his daughter. We saw how vicious he can be, when he took hold of that father that boy threw at Guddi's waist.

We saw the immature Vividha in episode one and how if anyone dared say anything re her father, she will not hesitate to insult back. When she taunted him re his father and goes home to be told the truth, we immediately see a mature Vividha feeling guilty. It was to portray that she was a hot-headed girl when it came to her father...as she considered him to be her GOD! And we also saw how hot-headed Atharv became when it concerned his father. It was a beautiful contrast.

Thanks Jules 😆
That's the thing KK wants the best of the best for his daughter even if what his daughter wants and needs is different from what he wants to give her! Like you said there is nothing wrong with the Sujathas but KK wants to ensure that his daughter marries the best who at the same time can contribute to KK's status socially (Financially he is already sound).

Vividha and Atharv have some extremely strong but contrasting feelings towards their respective fathers

Vaish
You have summed up the episode really well. I have watched only viTharv scenes and full epis only after he announces the engagement with her.

So setting the stage approx 20 episodes I missed ..

Makes me really happy to read the reviews.

The parallels have started way from the beginning I gather. It's brilliant.

And reading the reviews I wonder how much of a story has been conveyed in one single episode. If u compare it with this phase or any other phase it all looks so pheeka in front of phase 1. The quality is such.

This is called establishing the characters. Which phase 2 never had. Hence we couldn't connected with the suddenly utarofied family from heaven.

Coming to the epi both had contrasting feeling towards their fathers.

And kk definitely wanted a status in society through viv marriage. And he ll not allow anyone to foil his plans.

The suzi athu scenes always warms my heart.

ViTharv have always been at loggerheads before viv declared her love for him. I loved that constant tu tu mein mein between them

Good job you two (Vaish and Kells )

Thanks again for blast from the past :)

Hi, Loved your review and the analysis is done in such depth, you can't help but feel sorry for the poor state the show is in now. Looking forward to this wonderful journey with JNDSD ph 1.
