Nepal has legalized it and transgenders are also given constitutional right. 😊

Is transgender bathroom a hot button issue there like it's in USA?

Article 377 is about "unnatural sex" which includes paedophilia, necrophilia , BJ , anal etc even with hetrosexual couple

Ok then how exactly will a gay couple have intercourse? Sorry, but this by default takes away the basic right of a couple to even have sex. Like I said, forget about legalising gay marriage right now. Like someone else rightly mentioned here that there is an air of homophobia in India but but but also many youth are becoming increasingly aware, accepting and even open about LGBT rights. Change needs to happen in people's attitudes first.

It is, considering same sex relationships ( not just marriage) are illegal in so many countries

And sodomy is illegal in 12 states in USA

New research published by the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA) serves as a stark reminder of just how widespread such criminalisation can be. In a total of 74 countries, same-sex sexual contact is a criminal offence.
