Has he done something bad that the audience has been put off by him. Arrogance, selfishness, corruption.

Walking around and mentioning his princely title is already enough for many to dislike him.

How is he a royal anyway?

Dude, please. Saif has been around since the 90s. Never been huge, many supporting and ensemble roles, but he is here long after others have faded away. He has a 20 plus year career and is a producer too. How the hell is the audience put off by him if he has a 20 plus year career and not a superstar ? 😕. For him to survive so long, someone must like him. Don't give me the starkid thing. if that was true, Abhishek would be more successful.

As for as royal, I am not up with Indian history but as I understand he is a nawab , an inherited title because his family was made that by the Brits. Don't even know what exactly that is, I just know that about Saif. I also know there was some coronation of some sort where he wore a pagdi after his dad died. Not sure if it was a coronation per se, but I am calling it that.

He is a Nawab, he is wealthy, he has palaces, first editions books and expensive paintings. How on earth is it bragging if he is a Nawab ? It is his title. His dad was called Nawab of Pataudi as far as I know and he was a cricketer I think. Again don't know much about him, just know him in relation to Saif.

Audience just don't like him. His BO numbers are horrible. Reason he is still around and has not faded like others is because of his connections, the way he plays his cards. The true reason he married Amrita Singh was not love, one only just has to watch the Simi Garewal interview to see that. Truth is he married Amrita because he was struggling as a newbie in Bollywood and Amrita was doing pretty well in Bollywood so he thought she could help him out and she did to some extent. After Amrita Saif would eventually marry Kareena Kapoor, and while I don't doubt the love in that relationship, one can't discount the fact that marrying a Kapoor can help someone who has given so many flops stay relevant in Bollywood.

He was somewhat successful in the early noughties, but did some films with poor scripts and his films began flopping again like they did in the 90s.
