Well violence against women is wrong in any quantity. Certainly should not be condoned in any case.

I can never forget the chills and the creeps this movie gave me when I watched it for the first time. I never attempted to watch it again.

You can find interviews of the daughter online. She was 6 at the time. Lamb cutting scene was taken exactly from the real life incident.

In the bwood version, it kinda looks like the actors are acting. There's a hesitation and fakeness in the scenes. You could tell that Nana Patekar didn't want to be too harsh. And tbh, Karishma's screaming was ehhh. The abrupt change was a little weird.

But to be honest, it's really not that visible until you compare it with the South indian version. That one completely outperforms the bollywood one. It felt like you were really witnessing it happen, vs. watching a performance. More authentic. I esp loved how when the woman actor was pulling the guy's hair, people just watched at first. And then when people came forward to pull her off, you could tell there was hesitation about where to grab her/ touch her, that left as soon as they grabbed her. After that, there was no turning back. Idk, just a really nice touch.
