My gripe with POW - the Peshawar massacre

I love the show..It's been one of the most well Hindi shows made shows in years. The actors are fabulous and the direction has been top notch save the dragging for a few episodes in between

I really like how they weave current geopolitical situation in the narrative

But one thing that has always pricked me is showing as if Indians were responsible in any way for the dastardly Peshawar attacks. I know it is a fictional show but they have been on point so far with repsects to all the facts/situations. I can understand brainwashed individuals, Jaish memebers like Yousuf would believe that India was responsible as they do with everything despite contrary evidence as it serves their narrative

But an Indian soldier like Sid..Even if he has been a POW and has been "rescued" by a good man from Pakistan..Even if the lil fellow he was the most attached to..Hussain was killed in the massacre

As a soldier I expect him to know better than to believe a narrative woven by extremists from Pakistan

I know they could go for a cop out and eventually show that Sadiq sees light and realises that no Indian was involved but that he believed it so far and they have even shown an inkling of Indian involvement upsets me coz they have been thorough so far

They could have made up any random attack..Why show it as Peshawar

The makers haven't really disappointed so far..So I hope they address this but

PS: Anuraag would make hell of a villain

I love Imaan..I hope he comes into a bit of focus again

And Yaya for involving Santosh..One caharcter I want to know more about

I have the same gripe as you ST .

Sid immediately believing about India's or any Indian's involvement in Peshawar attack is really far stretched , It makes no sense .

They have shown him using Internet so may be creative liberty taken by Writers to show India's involvement in it , and that's where issue is they should gone with random bombing , there was certainly no need to specifically name it Peshawar .

They should have seriously avoided it .

I have no issues with Indian Soldiers being shown as Changed one , but creative liberty taken with FACTS , is NO from my side .

But I do have Hope that they wont glitch it up ... The Team has been TO THE POINT , considering India's past and current Affairs , so to actually showing India involved in Peshawar by THIS TEAM , will be very disappointing .

Viku's Smartness is on High Alert .

Duggu-Viku Team is back

Santosh is back ..

Hoping to see Squadron Leader Imaan Khan in action...

Glad that you made this point. My main grouse has been this insinuation of an Indian hand in the Peshawar attack. And I agree with you that they could have avoided the Peshawar attack completely.

But having said that, somewhere I feel the makers wouldn't have taken on this incident without any reason. Let's see how it unfolds.

I am absolutely ok with them showing Sid changing his side's..But the reasoning was unconvincing and the fact that they used Peshawar attacks is worse coz there is no grain on truth in that

Everytime they mention or imply Peshawar attacks and indian involvement in that..It makes me go arrg with the need it correct them

To show India being involved in Peshawar attack would be a huge cop out

I haven't seen hatufim ..So I don't know if they had any incident there in which the home country was actually involved and hence the soldier changed..But in our case, India most def wasn't involved in Peshawar attacks..So I for the life of me can't figure out why they used that

As for the show..It's going great but for this part. They have set such a thrilling narrative..I am so going to miss it once it ends

I agree..Sid/Sadiq, vikram, Duggal are in full form

I have no hopes from Sartaj ( he bores me to no end for some reason) so I hope Imaan is back in action..It's been long seeing him as such

ST .. In today's episode , they did showed how Pakistan media blamed Indian thadani's for supply of weapons in Attack .

My hopes increases after today's epi , that they'll not show India or any Indian involved in Attack even for creative liberty .

About Sid believing that ...let's see how this goes . The guy is shown too smart to fall for this lie .

About Sartaj , LMAO... they are putting harleen track so to give some role to him .😆

I thinking was necessary for them to show Hussain dying as sid was emotionally attached to him & that Is what acted as a trigger for him to change but still the logic behind an educated , soldier turning into a terrorist still needs more convincing. I think there has to b some conclusive evidence which Lala showed to sid that changed him . Would love to see more of that part

I have the same response to that line of reasoning by Pakistan media as Viku..RUBBISH😆

Bring a better reasoning..If Sid/Sadiq believed this then it will be a big good up for his character..He is def shown smarter than that as you mentioned

@Sartaj: I hope harleen is ok..But beyond that I just can't get myself to care for the storyline which is being plugged in

I can understand Sid being affected..Even changing but the whole thing was unconvincing esp the implication of Indians being the cause of the massacre

If there is some irrefutable evidence that it shown (no matter if it's made up) it would def make more sense

Even i feel that Peshawar Attack link was unnecessary but i think story needs strong trigger point to prove why Sid is going against his country. I know creative will not stake India's image n will clear all this very soon...But to justified Sid's anger who is an Indian army officer and what circumstances compel him to join Jaish they are taking this liberty.
