So, we all know the Kartik-Manish-Swarna reconciliation is gonna be a track.
What are your theories? How are they going to make Kartik forgive SwarNish? What is the actual reason behind SwarNish and Kartik's mom death?

Only and only if M and S are not involved in her death then...Reason is difficult to guess as of now because they havent shown much about it...

I'm sure they aren't. YR has always justified it's characters. They're all good people at heart.
I actually want to know the real reason - like Swarna's version of things.

One of the possibilities is that K's mom wasn't as angelic and kindly as K thinks. Maybe he has distorted memories of her.
Though it seems unlikely considering K is so good-natured and humble which is clearly not a Goenka trait. 😛 So its more likely he got his good heart from his mom.

Another possibility is that his mom was sweet but weak willed and just plain misunderstood MG and Swarna's relationship, assumed the worst and killed herself. And MG and Swarna may have gotten married later for a reason completely independent of K's mom. But since it happened in quick succession, K blames the two of them for his mom's death.

All speculation but I am definitely quite curious about this track.

i have no idea why, but i don't think she committed suicide.
This show has always been positive and i don't see them justifying something like a suicide. it is a very sensitive issue

My guess is she was probably murdered by some business rival and they somehow made it look like a suicide.
And this might sound stupid, that rival was creep's family.
(man i'd love to see that, but this show aint thaaat dramatic 😆)

or, she was already dying from some fatal disease and perhaps wanted someone to take care of her family after she was gone. Enter Swarna.
And then she might have taken matters to her hands, and rest is what Karthik saw. This is more likely now that i think of it.

How old was our boy when this happened anyway?

But none of these are gonna play out and i'm ready to be surprised by the writers, so there.
( i do read way too much fan-fiction😆)

Even if she did commit suicide, they obviously won't justify it. This show does like to raise social issues and sensitive topics though. The fact that her death had such a big (negative) impact on all of their lives, especially K's shows they won't justify it.
I had read an interesting quote somewhere. "Your death is not something that happens to you. It is something that happens to people around you". They will probably raise a point like that about why suicide is a bad idea.

Your second theory of her being terminally ill is likely though. Everyone will come out of that one looking like a saint. So that makes it even more likely.
K was seven or eight when it happened. He clearly doesn't know the whole story. Too young to understand.

That quote is super accurate, a lot a people dont realise that and perhaps it is a good thing they have brought this track.

My heart goes out for karthik, it is not easy for grown up people to handle the idea of their loved ones leave them, and for a boy at that age, cant even imagine how it was for him...
Sometimes i feel his anger is slightly justified, he sees swarna as the woman who uprooted hi happy little family and the cause of his mothers untimely death. And i dont believe GTD was much of a help then, with her not liking Swarna.

Oh yes. K's anger is definitely justified to some extent. Imagine the grief of an eight year old who has lost his mother! And on top of that his father marries the woman who used to visit frequently soon after.
He must have felt like his father betrayed him and his mom.
They sent the poor kid off to boarding school instead of sitting him down, comforting him and explaining things.
The whole thing was poorly handled by the adults of the family imo.
And he has been harboring these feelings for close to twenty years!
So his position is sort of understood.

All I know that there is much more to the story than Karthik sees.
