I don't think they r working at d same time. I mean, when Shivaay is bzy wid his marriage functions in IB, he's also shown in DBO fighting wid goons. N when Om returned Mumbai in DBO, thr's no marriage function going on of Shitia. So that's timing difference.

Timing is difference. It is 2 different shows with some connection)

The things of the spin-off may occur at different times in the chronology of the original show. )

Can u plz elaborate wid an example of this chronology thing?

Like in IB we have 25 Feb and in DBO we have 23 Feb different days...chronology different:))

But won't this be confusing for TV audiences?

Do they plan to bring the story lines together in the future in the 2 shows?

Well...DBO have new audience so for them it is new show. IB audience should look at this as at new show..Like spin-off:))

"Spin-off" - doesnt mean extension. It is new show with same characters. Story have some connection but phir bhi there difference:) And like Im said the things of the spin-off may occur at different times in the chronology of the original show.:)

What will be in future lets see:))

But according to this article (http://www.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/buzzin-hot/37128-revealed-how-will-ishqbaaaz-and-dil-bole-oberoi-operate-together.htm), DBO is supposed to be an extension of IB. There is supposed to be continuity between the two series. Clearly that is not happening...

When Shivay came to help Om at the station, I thought maybe in IB they'll show Shivay getting a phone call or something and leaving his wedding festivities temporarily to sort it out. That didn't happen so I thought maybe it was an oversight. But then, I saw Shivay was surprised to see Om at his festivities as if he didn't really bring him home...so now i'm just not sure what to think...especially because it seems Gauri will be coming to work in OM. I just feel this is going to cause so much confusion.

Another thing I haven't been able to let go is when OBO first started, Anika called Om's phone and started talking about how worried everyone was (of course, Gauri is the one that answered)...but in IB, Anika has lost her memory (or is faking...who knows) and she hasn't met Om yet post-memory loss.

I'm not sure if Gul has this all figured out yet, but I was really hoping the two shows would be extensions of each other without me having to figure out what my characters are thinking (are they thinking about what happened in IB today or is this before what happened in IB today...is he sad because of this or has this not even happened...so confusing).

It is confusing for audience. I know that.. when Kunal himself says its a continuation of IB..so definatly audience is confused n trying to get what is actually happening..

For Majority of indian audience Spin off meaning is not explained.. they just knew it's continution of Ib..as omkara story bcz of Promos. But now Difference r here.. and its not good for Shows...CV has to be work on it..

If there is connection between two shows then they need to work on it.. like Brothers presence etc.. otherwise story is different so not a big deal.. but this is surly confusing.. n Channel n Makers should clear it by somehow.. or should manage the continution.

Bcz Majority of indian audience dont know what is spin off.. they r still confused why two shows..

I guess it makes sense for both shows to have different time-lines/situations. This could be why they opted for a spin-off... this gives them the liberty to show different things happening to the same characters in both the shows. If they could manage the continuity and time-lines, there would have been no need to go for a separate show altogether... the whole thing would then be a single one hour show.

Actors said it is extension bcz there same to same characters. But is is spin off and spin off is different from original show but still have some connection.
