Hey I am back with another OS on ViTharv!
This scenario is a version of what is going through Vividha's mind after the leap. Tried a new style of writing. Hope it appeals to you people:). If not I will be back to my original style of writing, including dialogues😳
ViTharv OS- Faade!
Vividha's guilt was eating her up. She knew she had no right to tell Sujata chachi that she better stop worrying and caring about Atharv. She knew that the taunts by her would hurt Sujata chachi beyond repair. But she had to do it, for her and themselves. Atharv had not only ditched her at the altar, he had also ditched his mother. The very same mother, who made him who he was today, a man of principles and values, the man who proudly associated his name with his mothers, the man who proudly introduced himself as Atharv Sujata.
Sujata chachi was broken beyond repair. Broken to an extent, yet she stood tall, taking life altering decisions for Vividha. She had always considered her as her daughter, and when the time came, she told her daughter to move on in life completely knowing that Vividha can never love another man. Her soul belonged to Atharv. But when Vividha had told about her pregnancy, Sujata understood the gravity of the situation. She had pleaded Vividha to get married, so her son could have a life, a name and a family. Sujata had given her kasam, and Vividha had to accept.
Sujata's heart broke to see her daughter in law getting married to someone else, but she had to be strong. She certainly didn't want Vividha to live a life of hardships, a life of taunts and a life of an unwed mother. As she blessed the couple, Vividha had moved back to Ajmer. If Sujata chachi could make her accept her terms and conditions, their relationship did give Vividha the right to make Sujata chachi accept that she will stay with them in Ajmer.
Vividha slowly walked back in her room, she saw Ravish and her son playing. Though she didn't share any relation with Ravish apart from them being friends, one thing was certain, he was being a good father to her son. He had made sure that whatever her son asked, Ravish would give him, he loved her son, knowing that the child wasn't his. Her son had all the traits of Atharv, her Atharv. His child resembled him, not only in features but persona too. He loved his freedom, was childish, did lot of antics but at the end of the day, he loved his mother. If he would ever see a drop of tear in her eyes, he would sit in her lap and wipe them away.
She sat down looking intently at her son playing, enjoying with his father. The man he considered father, the man who taught him tricks and antics, the man who taught him some amount of discipline, the man who pampered him and the man who always stood between him and his mother's anger.
How she wished it was Atharv with her now. Try as much as she could, she couldn't forget the man who meant the world to her. She married Ravish, not for her but only for her family. She married so her son can have a father figure. She had seen Atharv, his pain and hatred for his father leaving him. How would she ever tell her son that the man he considers his father, isn't his father. How will he react? Would he ever accept Atharv, if ever he comes back and claims his right over their son? She remembered their journey from their first meeting, their separation to their almost reunion.
Vividha had successfully made everyone believe that she only had hate for the man she loved heart, mind and body. Try as hard as she might, she could never hate the man who gave her a new life. She could as well live her life hating him, but that made matters worse for her. Her world still revolved around her Atharv. Be it hate or love, he was, is and always will be her centre of universe. Seeing her son, she was reminded of Atharv. He may have left the two women he loved unconditionally but even while going, he gave the most wonderful gift ever, their son. He was a symbol of their love, their happiness.
When she had known about this pregnancy, a part of her hated Atharv so much that she had considered abortion. But what was her child's fault in all of this? Why would she want to deprive Sujata chachi of her grandchild? She had decided to bring her baby in this world, as her only. She would make sure that the baby was loved, looked after and given his/ her rights. Destiny was cruel to her as well as Sujata chachi, but then it wasn't so cruel when destiny handed her, their son. As long as her son was with her, her mother Sujata chachi was with her she would fight the world. She would fight the world for her son now, the mini version of the man she loved.
How times had changed. 4 years ago she was a bride beaming with happiness and joy, finally settling down with the man she loved. When she was ready to step into her new life, she was ready to embrace the happiness and honour that attached itself with her marriage, all was gone was mere seconds. Atharv had ditched her, his mother. He had run away, like a coward. She had then asked Ravish to marry her, probably on rebound, though she thought she would regret her decision taken irrationally. Even Ravish didn't deserve this life, but he had promised Sujata chachi that he would keep Vividha happy, give her all the status of a wife. She did sometimes feel bad for Ravish, she had snatched that life from him where he would get a wife who would love him, give him that honour of being a husband. She was extremely guilty about that, but he himself said that they are better as friends, companions and for him, his happiness was to make her son happy. She wiped a lone tear trickle down the cheek when her son sat in her lap and made her smile. She smiled as she picked him up and put him to sleep.
She somewhere accepted her destiny today, she was married, but only her heart knew who she truly belonged to. Her soul was his and will always remain his. They had committed to each other, and let destiny separate them, she will always love him forever.
The End!
I hope I have lived upto the expectations of ViTharv fans!😳
Positive criticism welcome!
