Gauri....Meera....Drawing Parallels

In the very first episode of DBO, Gauri had a conversation with Anika, where she had mentioned about the love of Meera for Lord Krishna...and herein lies the reason why

In all this, I dnt want her to become a dumb lady.. There should be takkar.. I am still hoping Gauri will turn out to be different

There is some resemblance between Meera and Gauri.. Gauri too said she believes God sent him for her..she believes he is meant for her and will keep loving him and won't expect anything in return...

Great write up...I do agree that the makers are trying to make a parallel between Meera and Gauri and also at the same time parallel between Shiv-Parvati and Omkara- Gauri...

Meera was the quintessential bhakt...her belief in her love for lord krishna was immense...i think it would be similarly for Gauri...Having said that i really would hate it if Omkara run all over her and she takes it in her stride because he's her pati and she loves him unconditionally...

I just hope Gul balances Gauri's unconditional love for Omkara along with her self respect...she's already butchered Anika and I wouldn't want Gauri to go through the same fate...

There was a serial on colors Swaragini, where the male protagonist was unconditionally in love with the female protagonist, yet whenever due to some unjust reasons initially whenever she tried to rub it in his face he never let her go scot free and reiterated that he's not open to anyone taking him granted for his unconditional love for her and that includes the female protagonist too...!!!...hopefully Gauri would be similar if not more assertive...!!!

I am puzzled as to what to think of Gauri lol. I expected her to take this marriage seriously because she is a village girl, uneducated and probably has spent all her life hearing how "Pati Bhagwan hai" aur "Shaddi sab kuch hai". But never expected to declare her love. I guess I am skeptical because we live in such a world where you can't find people declaring love for people like that. I guess Gauri is yet to fall in love in the true sense of the word.

Lovin Gn some one is not mistake and loving without expectations is good just like meera but she should not let go off her self respect and give bacl to om when he wrongs her amd not forgive easily

Honestly speaking...It is quite possible to show Gauri's selfless love...without turning her into a doormat...but I can't say what the CVs will do. Have to wait and watch.
