Loved Sonu. Wish he could have sung this. I think he was approached also for this. But since Pritam chooses which singer's version to keep (out of those who all recorded/were shortlisted) only later. Sonu backed out.

Sonu sir has a really good voice and he is a great singer.

But Gerua was made for Arijit.No one could have sung it better than him.😳

Sonu sir also sang Kailash Kher and Kumar Sanu's songs.That doesn't mean he should have sung them as well.

Geuwa was not made for arijit singh voice it required soft melodious voice of Sonu Nigam like suraj huwa madham... and also that was SRK song ...Arijit didnt suited SRK and it ended up with the worse Lypsynch song of SRK in his filmy carrier
