Just like Sona was in a position to understand and empathize with Dev - Ishwari equation, Dev is better equipped with understanding Suhana. He have seen it himself how much she thinks about her family. She didn't even eat ice-cream not wanting her family to be worried if she falls sick. Quite mature for a child of 6 years. Where he wanted Sona to understand him and support him, here he will be forced to be the one to understand and deal with situations so that his daughter won't get hurt. He will have to grow up fast now.

But I have trust in Dev the father. Any one who is going to stand between Soha n her happiness will pay a heavy price. Dev is so much like Bijoy. He will now understand Bijoy better. If Ishwari and Bijoy initiates the custody battle, Dev will let go of Soha. He will not want his daughter to pay the price for their mistakes. They have already paid a heavy price for their families interference and he will not let them do it to his daughter too. But Sona will relent after this, seeing Dev's condition. May be wishful thinking.
