I cannot watch women being victimized on tv. It leaves me feeling nauseated. It's only the second week, and this show has already shown so much of it! The most degrading thing for me was the scene where the three "men" we're about to marry Gauri.
And today's precap. Seriously? Burying a girl, stoning her, then slashing her with swords? How the hell do cvs come up with this stuff? And aren't the actors affected by going through with this kind of stuff? As a viewer, I'm disturbed by it for long after...
Anyway, I don't know how everyone else feels about this. I haven't been following the posts, but it's all too much for me. I'm hoping it gets lighter. If not, then this show is not for me...
Oh, and how does Gauri manage to keep her overly done make up on so perfectly after all the crying and running AND a swim in the lake? I could do with a few tips... 😆

In real life, worse thing happens in village. I know people are disappointed with Gauri torturing scene but it was a village full of jungleraaj people. In real life, girls like Gauri are even made to parade the entire village by being nude or get that girl raped by many men.

But then why is Gauri's face so perfectly made up? All that crying and not a single streak of eyeliner or mascara? Not a hair out of place? Dupatta still on her head after supposedly falling into a lake?
If Gul wants to show so much torture, then strive for some realism. For me, it's all over the top drama, the scenes are disgusting, and portrayal is tacky.

Even Om's hair is perfect after swimming. These scenes r bloopers. Does women shown in saas-bahu shows really wear heavy sarees n jewelleries at home or sleep n wake up wid make-up?
