Sonu Sood jumps off 75th floor for Singh Is Kinng

Sonu Sood, performing a stunt for Anees Bazmee's Singh Is Kinng, jumped off the 75th floor of a building in Singapore.
He had earlier jumped off the 20th floor for the same film while shooting in Hiranandani Gardens, Mumbai. This action comedy stars, Akshay Kumar in the lead who is popular for his dare-devil stunts as well.
Sonu shared his experience with us, "It was the biggest stunts that I had ever performed. The makers were against me doing it by myself but I went ahead and gave a perfect shot in a single take. We shot this scene at Q-1 towers in Singapore which is known to be the tallest building there. Our action coordinator Danny who has done Hollywood films like The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise was instrumental in canning the shot. They had taken all the necessary precautions as the wind at that height is very fierce. I was tied to safe harnesses so that I was comfortable while doing it."

"It was an exhilarating experience. At that height you can literally see the small world below you. The thrill of doing it without a stuntman was a pleasurable experience; I wouldn't flinch if I was asked to do it again. This is not the first time I have done stunts. I have done a lot of stunts before. Even in the South films that I do, I am popular as a stunt hero. I have been dragged by a running train, I have done fire sequences and the audiences enjoy it," Sonu added.

Sonu had played Abhishek Bachchan's elder brother in Mani Ratnam's Yuva and will be seen next in Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodhaa Akbar and as the main lead in Rajshri Productions' next, Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi.
