Finding Love ...
Its been 2 years since Suman graduated from art school in America and returned back home to Dehli. Neeraj sent his two daughter Urvashi and Suman to America to live with their uncle Sameer to pursuit their education. Urvashi got into modelling and Suman graduated from arts and science. Both sisters parted ways once they started building their careers .Urvashi lived in a condo by the beach and Suman stayed with her uncle Sameer who was a retired pilot. Suman loved arts and crafts since childhood, her work always got appreciated so decided to pursue a career in arts. She had her own art studio in Orange County where she painted and kept all her work
Ever since the day Urvashi caught pneumonia in childhood her parents were more protective and lenient towards her , this only made her to grow up as a spoilt brat . Suman sometimes felt ignored by her parents and painting was one way to release her emotions, it gave her a sense of peace .She discovered her talent in arts when her teacher chose her painting to participate in a contest . She would always win and since that day painting became her passion
Suman was very mature in her teen years and took care of Urvashi whenever her mother was busy , but as they became adults they drifted apart .They had different approaches to life and sometimes had ego clashes .
Suman was staring out at the sunset coming out her thoughts hearing her mother
"Suman ..are you ready ?"
Suman smiled nodding her head, she was dressed wearing a beautiful lengha looking so beautiful
"It would have been nice if Urvashi could have make it to your engagement .." Priya said little upset
"'I try to contact her but she's always busy ..I just gave up "Suman said finishing sliding her bangles on her wrist
"Aditya is here waiting downstairs.." Priya said drifting the topic
"I'm coming ...5 more minutes."
Suman smiled remembering meeting Aditya through her parents , last time she came to visit her parents in Dehli ,they both met and started to get along .He was a wealthy son of business man in Europe .His father owned a construction company and they were doing really well business wise. Suman thought he was a really nice guy always buying her flowers and taking her out to dinners. Sometimes she did think he acted like a brat but then he did have a good sense of humour and knew how to charm a woman. Though she always had her limits, they would just hold hands.Suman never had a relationship before, even though after studying abroad she knew her parents would want her to have an arranged marriage .
Both his and her parents thought it would be a good idea if they got engaged .Suman always thought of settling down and Aditya was the only guy she "dated" .The idea of getting engaged did make Aditya a little uneasy , he wasn't ready to settle down but he accepted reluctantly because his parents seemed to like Suman
Suman was happy getting engaged and thinking about settling down but sensed a disturbance in her heart . She didn't know if she loved him, she never knew what love was because she never really experienced it before .
Suman was about to walk out when Aditya entered her room .She didn't see him for 2 weeks ,he went to America for a business related event but promised to come back for their engagement..
"Aditya ?"Suman smiled yet confused
"Suman I cant do this .."
"I don't understand? What happened?" she said feeling tears on the edge of her eyes
"I know you will hate me for the rest of your life but ...I can't do this '"
Suman observed his expressions carefully "Your hiding something aren't you?"
Aditya took a deep breath "Suman ...when i was away for 2 weeks ...I met someone and I really like her ."
Suman frown her brows feeling disgusted yet daggered her eyes on him
"I wanted to tell you earlier but '.I didn't know how to say it ..your parents already started the preparations for our engagement .."
Suman took a deep breath wiping her tears angrily , she couldn't believe this was actually happening,..
"who is the girl you've cheating with me?"
Aditya clears his throat and rumbled something
"What!"
"Urvashi , I met her during my trip"
Aditya knew that Suman and Urvashi didn't have a good relation together and was scared of her reaction when she finds out ..
Suman was completely shocked! How could Urvashi do this to her ? Her own sister!
"Did she know ..about y..you and me?"Suman tried to gather her words
"Yes .."
This only made her tears gush out more, her own sister ? "
Suman sat down there pensively , she felt anger and revolt rising within .
"Suman ,I do have feelings for you ..but"..
She got up and slapped Aditya across the face .
"Dont you dare say you had feelings for me ! I genuinely thought you were a nice guy ,but I was wrong! You are just an opportunist and scared of commitment ! I don't ever want to see you again you coward! "She said furiously and ran out her room in rage .Priya walked in and saw Aditya standing there holding his cheek.

Suman stormed out her house , walking down the street to the ally taking her behind the park .It was where she would go for her jogs , there was a little river bank by the side with big trees. She was wearing her lengha with her blouse and her duppata loosely over her shoulder .She felt betrayed by both Urvashi and Aditya , how could Urvashi do this to her ! Oh ya! She forgot , she was now a super model and went out with half of the men in California! Suman swore under her tongue out of anger.
Suman couldn't stop her tears and aggressively removed her jewellery giving it too a poor lady sitting on the pathway .The park seemed empty only few people walking around but they seemed to dispersed
She finally just sat by the river watching the pink Horizon and the sun set ..She felt the wind trying to cheer her up and dried the tears over her cheek ..She took a deep breath and looked up at the sky and smiled tearfully knowing that maybe God had something else planned for her .

After a while she realised it was getting dark and didn't see the time pass being so lost in her own thought ...This made her uneasy and she started walking but then heard someone running behind her,she glanced back to see a man dressed in black ..She could feel her heart pasting fearfully and her throat was going dry . She was even scared to even turn back thinking the man will hurt her . She pasted her steps but then felt something sharp pierce through her slippers
"ahh" she moaned in pain falling on the ground
"Hi ,you ok?" the man stopped from his jog
She heard a man's voice yet very calming
She looked up only to see a very tall handsome young man , dressed in his jogging clothes wearing a black hoody .She was breathing heavily gazing in his eyes that were very sharp yet had a charming spark .
"Here..let me help you "he kneeled down
"I ..don't need your help .."she said coldly trying not to get fooled by his good looks
He stared at her feet painfully seeing her remove her slipper .He noticed her long lashes flickering she had round brown eyes filled with innocence but they had a tinge of sorrow . She was aware of his presence but then heard his footsteps walking away and started to feel really lonely
Few minutes later she saw him again knelling by her side ..
"Here ..let me see.."
Suman moved her leg away tersely "I could do it myself .
He gave her a firm stare seeing the stubbornness of this girl "Look I got a first aid kit from my car you need to disinfected that "He saw tinge of blood under her toe
She frowned painfully trying to pull out the piece of glass but she couldn't it was hurting her so bad. She gave him a hopeless stare and he smiled getting the message
"I want you to take a deep breath ."He ordered taking out the plastic glove
Suman nodded and closed her eyes ,he chuckled seeing her cuteness
."Is it out?" She asked with her eyes still shut tight, there was no answer
She slowly opened her eyes seeing the man all done dressing her little wound
He glanced at her nodding "hmmm."
Her eyes softened on this stranger " Thank you .."she said with a light smile , it was really caring of him to do this for her ,she was having such a bad day and felt like she came across a little rude to him "Im sorry for coming across a little rude, I know you were just trying to help"
Shravan didn't know why but this girl was definitely making his heart beat faster than usual
"No worries , by the way ..Im Shravan"
She looked at him as if he was anticipating her name "Its nice to meet you Shravan '"
He chuckled shaking his head knowing that she won't tell her name that easily
"So can I ask what are you doing this late in the park wearing a such fancy clothes?"
Suman eyes turned teary and in returned Shravan frowned his brows worriedly
"Wait ...wait ..Please don't cry ..I was just wondering..I never seen anyone walk around here dress like this ,I thought maybe you were having a photo shoot or something." he felt bad making her sad
Suman glance at him chuckling at his photo shoot statement .She wiped her tears "it was my engagement ! But ..he turned me down saying he loved someone else '" Suman heartfelt heavy yet felt good talking about it .
Shravan was shocked to hear this "On the day of your engagement ?"
Suman nodded feeling embarrassed and humiliated .Shravan saw her expression sinking , she looked like a little girl heartbroken . He sat on the ground next to her
"You know ..Maybe it was a good thing that your engagement broke off before it was too late" Suman frowned her brows confusedly as he continued
"Think about it , if you found out later that he was a jerk then you would have had a miserable life with him .Your whole life living with a unfaithful man that would have cheated on you. "
He was right she would have had a terrible life if she stayed with Aditya
"you should be happy that he's out of your life, you deserve better Shravan tried to cheer her up a little "don't let this day ruin your future you seem like a very sensible girl and your very beautiful ..you could get anyone."
Suman felt her cheeks turning pink hearing this ! Especially coming from this handsome hunk sitting next to her, he didn't seem like he was flirting but very serious "anyone ?"she asked
He stared intensely in her eyes "Anyone "he affirmed solidly
She gazed on seeing his assuring smile , the more she thought about this the more it made her realise that he was absolutely right! Shravan saw her smile grow and wiping her tears for good! She didn't know this guy but whatever he said made her feel much better .
After a while she spoke
"Its getting late ..I should get going "
Shravan nodded getting up ,he saw her trying to get up and offered his hand . She started up at him for few moments and accepted his help .She hopped in pain and almost lost her balance and quickly held his strong arms for support .
She felt embarrassed and quickly moved away "Im sorry "
"Don't worry about it ..If you want I could drop you .." he offered as they walked out the park
"no ..its ok my house is not that far .." she said hopping
"I could drop you ..There's no problem"
"Thank you for everything but I prefer going myself .." She gave him a thankful smile
"Ok .. Take care of yourself and remember...That guy never deserved you .."He said firmly yet gazing in her eyes .Suman gazed on and pursed her lips yet smiled warmly ..Shravan watched on as she was making her way down the street.
Shravan was driving back home wondering about that girl , her eyes were so mesmerizing. Her face Kept flashing in his mind "Shravan Relax ! Its not like you never saw a girl before " He said to himself . He was feeling really bad for what happened to her, and prayed the best for her.

When Suman arrived home the guest were all gone.Aditya parents felt humiliated and ashamed of their son . They apologized for the inconvenience and left.
Her mother was on the phone and her father was sitting on the chair in despair .He saw her come in "where were you!" NEeraj asked concerned
Suman hugged him and few tears shed down seeing her father like this .
"Im fine papa .."
"I can't believe your sister could do this to you ? You were always thinking of others but when it was your day of happiness..Your sister took it from you .."Neeraj said upset
" Papa'I think whatever happened ..it happened for the better ..Imagine..what sort of problems I would have been in if I knew Aditya real face after getting married to him ?"
Neeraj was still very upset "why couldn't I see this before and do something about it before it was to late ...I feel terrible, because of me my daughter has to go through so much humiliation .."
Suman held his hand "Don't worry ..everything will be ok .."
"You sister will not run away with this ! Your mother is trying to tell vishak to stay away from Aditya ..but I guess she will do as she pleases .." He said looking angry
They heard Priya on the phone
"Urvashi! This is not right what you did 'You didn't think once about your sister or her happiness .."
After Priya hung up she hugged Suman "I'm really sorry dear 'because of us '."
"Im fine mom .."
"Your sister will have to pay a big price if she wants to stay with Aditya "
Suman was shocked ""She still going to stay with him after what happened?"
"You know how she is ..She wont listen to anyone but herself "
"no mom ..you both spoiled her badly since childhood and today you see the result .."
Neeraj and Priya knew she was right "This will be something we will regret all our life dear. We know that us being lenient toward her made her become selfish and spoilt '"
"I didn't send her to America to become a model! "Neeraj said disappointingly
"But We are very proud of you Suman ..you have become a grown woman and a beautiful artist ..".Priya backed up
"Suman ...we know you haven't received much attention from us in childhood and we will always regret it ."
"No papa'you gave me enough love and support to becoming what I am today ..If you gave me to much I would have become like Urvashi " she joked to make the atmosphere light
"Oh no ..Please one Urvashi is enough to handle "Priya said with a light smile
Neeraj hugged her fatherly "You will always be my brave girl .."
The guy leaned close to her and the glass on the counter spilled over her shirt ."What The hell!"She got frustrated and gave the man a stern look ...
The bar men gave her napkin ..
"thank you" She started cleaning her shirt
"Here let me help "the man sitting beside her offered about to wiped her shirt but she moved back ..
"Stay away from me ..!!"She warned
Suman then felt someone hand on her back
"Is everything ok here.."
Suman swiftly tuned around only to see Shravan ..
"you ?" she asked in surprise .Shravn spotted her from afar and made his way to her .His eyes gleamed seeing her ,he then saw the drunk man beside her and gave him a warning stared "Back off " He warned fiercely ..Suman didn't know what to say and felt his hand slipping in her hand and guiding her out the bar
"Are you Mr Malhotra ?" It was on this name she received the order for the painting
