Part 3

The weekend finally arrived Suman went to her uncle's little town house,it was a small cozy house with a small garden area with a patio. She went early to help Preeti cook and clean the house . The sun was still bright at 6:00pm and a nice comfortable temperature. They set the table outside on the patio and arranged pillowed chairs around ...The girls went upstairs to get freshened up and change.

Preeti got dressed wearing a peach color anarkali looking cute and Suman also wore a bleu anarkali with her long brown hair straightened over her shoulders they both looked beautiful in their Indian clothes . Preeti had already met Pushkar family once just didn't meet Shravan yet but her father already met Pushkar before so it wasn't going to be much nervousness around .

It was Suman first time meeting Pushkar family , they seemed nice from what she heard from Preeti .She went downstairs in the kitchen warming up the dishes.Suddenly she heard the door bell ..She heard a little excited child and quickly went to the living area as they were walking in She greeted them warmly with Preeti

"Hi girls! This is for you Preeti!" Vandy said giving her a gift bag

"Thank you so much .."

"Hi Suman!" Pushkar said giving her a side hug and he introduced her to his family greeting her warmly

Suman was still standing in the hall near the door. Suddenly her eyes widened up seeing Shravan's tall figure walk in .He was wearing a black undershirt with a belu jacket looking very dashing .She stared on shocked yet confusedly happy to see him .The corner of his lips curved up seeing her reaction

"Hi ," He said in a husky voice

She blinked cutely looking up at him "Hi.."

Pushkar saw this and grinned " Uncle , this is my cousin Shravan .."

Sameer smiled "Nice to meet you Please come in Beta..."HE said shaking his hand guiding him in the living area ..Suman stared on watching him in disbelief ,she couldn't believe he was related to Pushkar!

The Malhotra felt very welcomed ,Varun and Pushkar were talking to Sameer with much respect Preeti was opening the gift with Vandy excitedly. Shravan was holding Ariya on his lap as she was playing on his phone .He looked at Suman raising his brows ,she got the message that he was very well aware of all of this!

"Suman beta , get some drinks for them .."

Suman nodded as Preeti joined her in the kitchen ,she noticed her cousin lost as she was placing the glasses on the tray

"What happened Di?"

"Preeti , remember the guy I told you about ,in india .."

"Ya.."Preeti became more cautious

"Well , Shravan is that guy and he's Pushkar cousin!" She said biting her lower lips

"What! Pushkar did tell me about him but never got the chance to meet him because he was in Texas .."

Suman needed to tell her something more "Preeti I met him again the other day ,he wanted to buy my painting"

"What! Why didn't tell me that before!"

"I know , I just ..." They heard Sameer calling Preeti ,she walked away .Both girls tried keeping themselves composed and kept a smile .

Suman came in the living room with Mango juice and Shravan gazed on adoringly as she was passing the drink .Ariya was so happy that she got a butterfly cup from Suman in such friendly way and started liking her !They all chatted amongst each other as she sat next to Pushkar "Your cousin is really sneaky isn't he !.."

Pushkar smiled "He didn't know you were related to Preeti ,I never really talked about you so he was just as surprised as you are..Its just a small world" pushkar explained

Suman shook her head with a smile "Small world indeed"

They all went outside enjoying the warm weather, Ariya was running around the garden as Shravan played with her .Preeti and Pushkar were sitting with Sameer as they were discussing something serious .Varun was on the phone and Vandy was in the kitchen with Suman

"Everything smells delicious! My cooking is very so bad you know all these three guys make fun of my cooking all the time. Im telling im so happy that Preeti will join our family soon !"
Suman found Vandy very cute ,she seemed very modern and fashionable but kind at heart

"Me too" Suman said sweetly

"Vandy Bhabhie ,Ariya is calling you outside " Shravan said walking in

VAndy went outside leaving both Shravan and Suman alone in the kitchen .

Suman hair was coming on her way, she quickly made a loose bun clipping her hair up .He found her so beautiful in her indian outfit ,he watched on as she was pouring the food in the elegant dishes ..

He came close to her leaning on the counter crossing his arm, she was very well away of his presence but didn't stop her work "So should we tell everyone that we know each other"He said teasingly

Suman gave him a smile "Well Pushkar and Preeti know obviously .."

Shravan laughed "So I guess we should just go with the flow .."

"I think that would be good" she said pouring the rice in a bowl

Shravan didn't know why she had this power to make his heart paste so fast "So I guess we will be meeting more often .."His voice was so alluring to her ears ,but she kept herself in control and gave him a smile

He noticed all the dishes she was taking out "Did you make all this?!"

"I tried .."

Shravan was so impressed by her and helped her bring the food outside on the table . They all poured themselves and sat around the table praising the food she made pulao with palak paneer, tandoori chicken,Sevki sabsi ,and salad.

"Wow Its been ages that I haven't eaten great desi food like this!" Varun praised

"Suman you have to give me the recipe for the palak paneer its so yummy!" VAndy added ,as she was feeding Ariya

"Suman Di is not just a great artist but an amazing cook"

"And Preeti is the world's best baker!" Suman added

"As you guys can see Im fat because of these two ladies"Sameer teased as they all laughed

Later in the evening, they all settled down with some tea and some desserts made by Preeti . Shravan was sitting on the chair looking at his messages on the phone .He then heard Ariya giggling running around the garden with Suman trying to catch her "Na na na" Ariya said making a funny face at her

"Come here you!!!"She giggled taking her duppatta and tied her up quickly yet playfully .Ariya was screaming in amusement and started laughing as suman was tinkling her "Your making funny faces at me!" She held her in her arms tightly "Now you can never escape me!!" Suman teased pretending to be a monster..

Ariya giggled even more "Ok ..Your a nice monter .." Suman smiled knowing she meant Monster and kissed her cheek every so lovingly .She so awed by this little one and took Ariya for a stroll around the garden picking some flowers .She found her so cute with her innocent talking "I like the pink one ." she said cutely ..Suman put the flower in her pony tail bringing a grin on the toddlers face . Shravan watched on adoringly as he was talking on the phone with one of his client.

Shravan was impressed , her interaction with each family member was very sweet, she blended easily with them laughing and chatting away. Ariya became so fond of Suman and was following her everywhere ,it was very cute .Everyone were sitting outside on the patio enjoying the calm, warm breezy evening. They were all stuffed after the delicious meal . Preeti and Suman were spoiling Ariya a lot ! They were giving her chocolates , playing with her hair and taking cute selfies .

Shravan Casually sat next to Suman and leaned close "The food was amazing .."

Suman looked on gratefully "Thank you and You could call me Sumo .."

"Sumo ...I like it"

"I only let few people call me by this nick name.."

"Why? am I special?"he asked gazing intensely in her eyes

Sumo realized her cheeks flush but thankfully Ariya came to Shravan

"Look chachu ruba cub"

Shravan grinned "hmm looks like you found a Rubik's Cube" he corrected her English sweetly

"For you" she said walking away ,Ariya knew very well how her chachu was good at it . Suman chuckled sweetly watching as the toddler was exploring around

Shravan had an idea "Listen ... if I solve this Rubik's cube in less then 30 seconds ,anything I ask for you have to fulfill it " he whispered leaning close to her

Suman frowned confusedly "what do you want from me?"

"Deal or No?"

Suman smiled there was no harm "Fine Deal!" They both pinky promised

He started solving the rubiks cube , the malhotra family were so used to it but the Tiwari watched on shocked! Within 25 seconds he solved it and gave the cube to Suman .Her eyes widened up shocked ,she made sure all the colors were perfectly aligned .She shook her head seeing the smug smile on his face "Show off!" she rolled her eyes as he started laughing

"Dont forget the deal" he reminded playfully as she smirked teasingly

Few moments later Preeti got up and Pushkar went on his knees proposing to her , everyone were so happy! Preeti stood there shocked but of course accepted his proposal , Sameer was aware of this and blessed them .

Suman hugged Preeti warmly "OMG!! Your getting married"

"Congratulations Bro!" Shravan hugged his brother ,It was a joyful moment. Suman brought out the sweets and Ariya was helping distributing the ladoos

"Chachu takes 2!" Ariya said to Suman and she obliged .Shravan lips curved up impishly adoring the beauty in front of him. Future plans were being discussed making it all so exciting for Preeti and Pushkar.VAndy already started talking baout the clothes she wanted to wear at all the functions

"VAndy calm down we still have to set the dates with Mama and Papa"Varun shaking his head at his wife's impatient

"Dont worry ,Ill talk to Them" Sameer stated warmly .

After a while the Malhotra took their leave creating a new relation with their future in laws .Everything went smoothly , they all seemed to get along and were glad to have met . Suman hugged Vandy and Ariya before they left and hugged Pushkar congratulating him again .

They were all busy saying there good byes .Shravan and Suman stood face to face not sure if they should hug or shake hands. It was a little awkward as they tried to make up their mind .He chuckled finally giving her a hug

She felt her body flush feeling her chest against his firm chiselled body .Shravan felt her slim figure fitting perfectly against his tall frame

"Bye"..She managed to say yet she still felt shy . It was a hug that was a little too long she thought but it felt very warm.

"bye" .He moved back with a content grin leaving her puzzled for a moment .She came out her thoughts waving at them with Preeti .

, Suman couldn't stop smiling throughout the night! But then told herself that there was no such feelings for him .She only found him attractive and nothing else!

Shravan was chilling on his bed with Pushkar "Now do you see what I see in her !" He said trying to convince Pushkar that she was special

"I just see Preeti bro!" he said busy texting his future fianc leaving"Shravan shook his head throwing a pillow at his brother as he walked out the door .He laughed at himself looking in the mirror!

"Shravan Man! Whats got into you ,you never run after a girl like this!Girls run after you! But Suman ...She's not like that . She's not going to flirt nor is she going to ask your number. So you have to chase her and make her yours!"He encouraged himself, and excited about it!

"How did you get my number .." she asked confusedly
Shravan started laughing "I have my resources"

"Oh! I see " She said knowing it was Pushkar!

" tell me did you eat anything ?"

"umm not yet .."

"Ok then open the door because I'm right outside your studio .."

"what!!!!" She panicked a little, feeling butterflies in her stomach ..She bit her lower lips and shut her eyes excitedly "Sumo! Relax!" She told herself before opening the door .Shravan stood there holding a bag ,she controlled her smile not wanting to seem to glad ..
