now now, didnt you mention gays being abnormal, perverts etc. because they didnt conform to population averages? That was hardly pertinent to the topic, was it? and wasn't it something you yourself implied, or did you miss some of your own points? I was simply challenging the assertion of gays being abnormal, and i did so with examples. Fine if you couldn't stomach my examples and chose to digress with how you dont recommend education, though i think it's a great bet.😆 as for the rest of it, going after my examples does not do anything to undermine my overall point that one cant confuse notions of normality with population averages 😉

That was hardly pertinent to the topic, was it? that wasnt the point.. gays are not abnormal ONLY because they are a minority... if it was physiological it would have a much higher proportion.. like the educated guys, the criminals also form the minority but a society never refuses to accept them..and wasn't it something you yourself implied, or did you miss some of your own points? like you always do just took half the point..so who missed what..I was simply challenging the assertion of gays being abnormal, and i did so with examples why didnt you use eg of criminals then people who are superstitious.. there are lots of minorities around.. Which is why I plan to stick to the resolution 😆. Fine if you couldn't stomach my examples and chose to digress with how you dont recommend education all i wanted to do is cut down that talk about education and great achievers from more delusional to a realistic one...😆, but i think it's a great bet. hey, you never know😉😆..

So to get back on track to you want to answer you own question... why societies tolerate criminals, doesnt call those minority shining bright guys as abnormal, tolerates superstitions.. yet categorically rejects the Gay..... shouldnt there be a good reason in the collective wisdom!!!!??? I strongly believe in the power of the collective wisdom....

are you saying that society in it's collective wisdom having greater tolerance for criminals is a wise thing? 😆 oh,of course you are saying that. you just did.😉😆

and as for collective wisdom, didnt they try that with communism? that didnt work out too good, did it?😉😆

Another digression.. Ok I dont want to pull it on.. but collectivism in communism is akin to belief in superstition..or something like that which we still tolerate so it would be good if you make your point straight and dont try analogies cause they are too digressing and irrelevant.....

lol, are we getting this right? 😆didnt you just initiate the irrelevancies with talk of how criminals and superstition are found to be more accepted by societal "collective wisdom" than gays? and how that somehow lends great credence to gays being abnormal? now now, cant go around calling other people's points irrelevant when all they are doing is refuting your own digressions. 😉

Hmm..interesting question! I don't believe that children are born gay or straight. I think it is around the age of 4 that they develop curiosity towards their sexuality and ask weird, random and embarrassing questions. Most kids 'grow up' straight due to influence by society and their own parents. But I think it is over time that they develop choice of hetro vs. homosexuality. Personally, I don't find anything wrong with it.

Wow many thoughts...I don't know what to think myself but there has been research that certain gene can create a gay person... going beyond this science also suggest that paedophiles are born as paedophiles because there is a certain part of their brain that is different from a non-paedophile's brain. I don't have any personal views on this I just thought I'd share what I have seen from documentries.

i think mostly the reverse is true. lil boys like to be men and profess how much they hate gals. "ewww, girl!", that kinda stuff. of course, things take a U-turn when they hit 10. it's gals all the way from then on. with a vengeance. no looking back.😆

oh on the other front, i think most mental and psychological development supposedly happens by the time kids turn 5. dont know why or how, but i think that's what they say.😊
