As we know, Beyhadh has said to have 3 phases and the second one has just begun. A little peak at this new era was enough for me to know that I will not be liking it as much as the first one.
The first phase consisted of Arjun and Maya meeting, falling in love and getting married amongst the other secondary and various other factors of the storyline. The second phase, which has just begun I presume, will be focusing on Arjun and Maya's life post marriage and the third phase is so far a mystery about which no details have been disclosed.
The first phase was the most essential for shaping the characters and developing bonds between them. A couple of episodes into the second phase I find myself roling my eyes at the screen every two seconds and allowing myself to get distracted whilst supposedly watching the episode. Do I hate the new phase? No, definitely not as yet. Did I prefer the first phase? Hell yes!
I have said it before and I repeat myself, I will not quit watching Beyhadh no matter what: they could honestly show Maya-Arjun-Saanjh having a threesome at the terrace (MAJOR CRINGING) and I would still watch the show, my commitment is real. Maybe because this is a finite series and I know it has to eventually come to an end and not go on for 7 years *cough* *cough*.
Now, I have a lot of hope and expectations from the third phase. While the first one was great and the second one hasn't been to my liking so far, I know for a fact the third phase will be the most thrilling, maddening, mid-blowing, unexpected and Beyhadh of all. Label it as my instinct but I have a feeling the comparatively boring second phase will be worth it to bear by the time we approach the last phase and the end of the show.
