I dont understand why is it difficult to accept that Sona can have a childhood friend..

Also if you pay attention, it is not just Sona's friend but Saurav's friend too.. it is possible that he was in Delhi during his school days and moved to Kolkatta and settled there/running his own business.

When Sona and boses lost their home, they moved back to Kolkatta and Jatin was there to help them .. Again if you pay attention ... they are just friends.. Bijoy saw a good prospective groom for Sona in Jatin... but if they remained friends for 7 yrs then nothing is going to happen now all of a sudden.. Asha also mentioned that if Jatin is interested in Sona and vice versa ... she would be very happy... but they clearly said . neither jatin nor sona showed interest... so why these discussions of how a boy and girl cant be just friends.

Also coming back the the sunflower story... sona said the flower started living life and enjoying it after the Sun came in her life... it doesnt mean that she didnt get the support from family and friends. but just that it was not enough to make her happy and lively again.

I think it's quite normal to not talk about ur childhood friends who u don't live in the same city as u and who u don't meet in years. I don't really feel the need to talk a out it with ur current friends or partner. Sona went back to Calcutta and she met her old friend and he liked her idea and inveated in it so I don't find it abnormal. But marriage with the same friend is abnormal 🤬. I dont know why but I feel that they will be friends only and there will be no other a angle in their relationship.

Sona claimed in one scene when dev asks her how many guys she knew she says none. So this intro of jatin is sudden thought by cvs.

I'm ok with him being a childhood friend but I didn't like his introduction. Sona practically ran to him. I felt that was a little out of character. It was as if the scene was inserted to make dev jealous. Though sona smiling and chatting with a guy would have been enough!
