Sona didn't want to make bestie with Dev. I know what you mean. But don't you think it's the responsibility of the other party as well to make her feel free to share her thoughts ? There were few instances I recall where Dev poured his heart out because Sona insisted. Sona insister to be his confidant about his feelings and she kept on asking for it. She understood those emotions and provided him the necessary shoulder to lean on.

But from the few instances which I recall where Sona poured her heart out - when she told Dev about her feeling 'left out' in his family, about her wanting to have a swing, about her wanting him to grow up as a man and stop being a Mamma's boy, about wanting to know more of Dev to make their friendship better - in all the instances Dev either shunned her off saying 'you won't understand because you had a normal life', or made fake promises only to be broken later or lied conveniently. How would Sona feel 'bestie' with someone who doesn't even acknowledge or let him be part of his family/past/decisions ? 😕

For me, if someone tells me 'I cannot explain everything to you' or 'you won't understand' and close the conversation, that would be the last person in the world who would make me comfortable about me sharing MY thoughts with him. 😕

So true. It was Dev's responsibility also to make her part of family which he always avoided.

For me, if someone tells me 'I cannot explain everything to you' or 'you won't understand' and close the conversation - Dev has been an absolute jerk, totally agree and I hated him to the core. But here I am talking if sonakshi's introspection.
Was Sona this self sufficient that she didn't need a bestie in her husband? She clearly needed him in that toxic house, and firstly for herself to build her marriage foundation with the guy.
I, myself, as a person I am very similar to sonakshi and that y I am dreading her position because she could have saved the situation, knowing his flaws. People like sonakshi always strive for excellence and perfection, do not share their vulnerabilities and later on become sacrificial lambs.

I just want her realise her follies and had she behaved and given it to Dev just the way she is doing it now back then when he was her husband, things would have been very different. Giving him a mouthful back then would have given him a real taste of marriage and jolted them all big time.

Now, Dev surely is a changed man with respect to his mother, which was his biggest mistake. We know that but Sona doesn't. What she knows is Dev's love for her and anything related to her and them. That's Soha. He deserves to know - and Sona needs to introspect why she did not give him a whack then - that would have saved their marriage. The guy wanted her exercise full right on him as a wife, Sona kept sulking in her pride.

I totally agree with you Sia. Sona's putting up with Dev's nonsense for so long and not taking a significant effoet to call him out on each of his mistakes was a huge bad blow to their relationship. After marriage she instead became like Dev and started worshipping Ishu for no reason instead of trying to read her motives and act on it. I hated that meek, confused submissive Sona as well.

What Dev is doing today to Ishu should have been done 7 yrs back, what Sona is doing today to Dev should have been done 7 yrs back. May be that would have saved their marriage.

I know right! I always held the view that sona was always right until yesterday. But no, she had hher flaws which need introspection. Everything in life is so overrated. Pride, self respect, ego, love everything takes a backseat with time. After 7 years of separation, both Dev and Sona are incomplete and their daughter is devoid of her father's love. Had they communicated, Sona would have pulled strings and not become a scapegoat in the hands of toxic Dixits, their married life would have turned into a bliss.

In the end, Dev lost everything because of his flaws and one person who could have lifted him from his misfortune left him and started off afresh. I fail to understand what kept Dev reaching out to Sona in all these years - itna kya gussa, he is a fuss pot, that's it.

Sona should now share Soha with Dev - enough of staying separate. Reconcile and share love, away from Dixits and Boses!
