First film to reach 100 crore club in 2017

Raees' was the first big release of 2017, and in its first week itself the movie has entered the 100 crore club. Well, a Shah Rukh Khan film reaching 100 crore is not a big deal, but we cannot ignore the fact that the actor's previous release Fan' didn't do that well at the box office, and while Dear Zindagi' was a hit, he had a supporting role in the movie.

Highest collection on Republic Day

Shah Rukh Khan's Raees' has beaten Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar's films by collecting the highest amount on Republic Day. Raees' had collected Rs 26.25 crore on Republic Day breaking the previous records.

Highest weekend in January

The month of January is said to be jinxed as many films have failed to make a mark at the box office in this month. Raees' in its opening weekend collected Rs 92.25 crore. None of the films have collected such a huge amount in its opening weekend in January.

Raees' beats the lifetime collection of Fan'

Shah Rukh Khan's last release as a lead actor was Fan'. The film didn't do a great business at the box office, and Raees' in just five days beat the lifetime collection of Fan'.
